We’ve been coming to Cinnamon Shore for the past five years and were really looking forward to dining at Stouts after hearing great things about the food. Overall, the food did not disappoint—except for the chocolate lava cake, which we’d recommend skipping.

Unfortunately, they were out of both the Oysters Rockefeller and steamed mussels, and we weren’t informed until we tried to order them. Instead, we opted for the calamari, focaccia bread, and shrimp scampi as appetizers. All were delicious, but the shrimp scampi was the standout.

For entrées, we tried the rosemary chicken, lamb chop, Chilean sea bass, salmon, and lemon dill shrimp pasta. The risotto served with both the sea bass and salmon was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meals, though the salmon could have used more sauce. I personally really liked the lemon dill shrimp pasta.

Dessert was where things took a turn. The chocolate lava cake was extremely underwhelming—bland and lacking in flavor.

What truly dampened the experience was the service. A 20% gratuity is automatically added for parties of six or more, and unfortunately, it felt like our server put in the bare minimum effort because of this. She rarely smiled, didn’t ask if we had dined there before, offered no recommendations, didn’t inform us in advance about unavailable items, and never checked in to see how our food was. Meanwhile, she attended to her smaller tables multiple times before coming to ours. It took 30 minutes for our dessert to arrive, and we had to ask the hostess to follow up on it.

If you’re dining with a smaller group, your service experience may be better. But based on our visit, I wouldn’t recommend Stouts for parties of six or more. We were all very...

Elizabeth absolutely made our entire experience at Stouts at the Shore! From the moment we sat down, her energy was warm, welcoming, and incredibly genuine. It’s rare to come across someone who treats every guest like they’re the only table in the room, but that’s exactly what Elizabeth did for us.

She was attentive without hovering, and somehow anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask—whether it was drink refills, extra napkins, or honest suggestions from the menu. Speaking of suggestions, her recommendations were spot-on. We ordered the pistachio-crusted lamb chop based, and they were absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best dishes we’ve had in a long time.

You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we were having a great time, and it reflected in every interaction. Even when the restaurant started getting busy, her service never skipped a beat.

If you’re visiting Stouts at the Shore, do yourself a favor: ask for Elizabeth. She’s the type of person who doesn’t just serve a table—she elevates the entire experience.

Thank you, Elizabeth! We’ll definitely be back...

Stouts is outstanding! The vibe is great. There were four bartenders and these guys and girls were getting it done with craft cocktails. All of the staff, from hostesses to servers, managers and bartenders were so friendly and inviting. Now to the food….it was great! We had meatballs, calamari and raw oysters for appetizers. The meatballs were fabulous and I never thought a meatball could be that good! I loved the batter on the calamari, and the raw oysters were very good. We had Chilean seabass, red drum, and lamb for mains. The seabass and lamb were fabulous, and the drum was pretty good, but not as good as the other two entrees. We only ordered one desert, the lava cake, and a spoon fight dang near broke out over it as it was so good! This place is so professionally run and the food and service is extraordinary, which is exceptional for Port A. In addition, there is no credit card fee added to the bill which is not customary sans Port Aransas….just include it in the costs of doing business as it seems cheap...

It was basically a nicer Olive Garden but no where near the level of Lisabellas, so just go there. The bar is cool and the two women working the bar basically kept it all together with drinks for the restaurant, but let’s start with that amazing looking bread that tasted like cardboard. Clearly someone missed an ingredient or two. The goat cheese salad had wilted and warm lettuce that looked old. My shrimp scampi wasn’t terrible, but the chunks of garlic and sauce made it seem like the shrimp wasn’t cooked in it but instead the sauce was just poured over some boiled shrimp. I’m not expecting James Beard quality food on the Island, but for these prices…ugh. Btw, you can get great food on the Island…right next door.

We were in Port Aransas for a few nights and had my birthday dinner here. The restaurant is cute. We ordered their scallops, rosemary chicken and steak and focassia bread. The rosemary chicken was alright, but the mashed potatoes it came with were really good. The bread and the dipping sauce was so good. Steak and scallops were fantastic. The bread pudding was yummy. I enjoyed the hibiscus lemonade but had to water it down because it was too sweet. Looking back I wish I would have ordered steak or their Chicken Alfredo.
