Jimmie Lee's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Port Byron

Nice, small-town bar and restaurant. The bar area is separated from the dining area side by a 3/4 wall. The bar area does have large TV's behind the bar.

The restaurant side has a small salad bar (lettuce, potato salad, cottage cheese, cole slaw, bean salad, pudding, and fruit). In the evenings there is also a soup or chili.

In addition to burgers, tacos, fries, etc, they also have steak sandwiches, fried chicken, pork chop dinner, and other items. We will frequently split the $13 pork chop dinner (two marinated chops, baked potato, Texas Toast), and then get an extra salad bar for about $7.50. They will spit the meal for you onto two plates. The burgers start at about $6.00. There are daily specials.

The owner and staff are friendly, the food good, and it is usually a pretty quiet atmosphere-- rarely you may get a loud person at the bar that may be heard over on the restaurant side. They have a couple large round tables for groups of about eight.

This was our second time visiting Jimmie Lee's while in town because locals recommend it. The menu has offerings for everyone looking for simple, American fare. There is a section of tacos as well, but we did not order anything off of it. Coming from Wisconsin, we are typical Friday Night Fish people and you will not find that here so we had to re-group. We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was amazing. I forgot to take pictures. But we will be going back. My husband’s burger was perfectly cooked with a balanced out cheese and mushroom ratio on a deliciously toasted bun. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The chicken was juicy and not chewy at all. The bun was toasted and buttery did not need sauce the flavor was awesome! I had onion rings and they were so good!
