My husband and I enjoy the food at Cracker Barrell. We visit the Port Huron location when we're in the area. Today is 1/01/2024 about 3 pm. Waitress asks what to drink, response, 1 reg 1 decaf! 10 min later she brings 2 waters and says she forgot the coffees, so asks if we're readt to order, and yes we are! I order mama's pancake breakfasrt (scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, ask for blueberry syrup, and bacon). My husband orders a different breakfast. She eventually returns and pours our coffees at the table.......okay. Have to mention that when she took the order she did not write everything down.....why not?Another person brings the food to our table. My husband's order is fine. My order had sausage patties instead of bacon, and no syrup. The gal said she would correct, but we didn't see her again....instead our waitress approached 5 to 10 minutes later and asked if everything was ok....I said no...explained why...and she looked at me and said "well, that's too bad, it's New Years Day, and she really doesn't want to be there, so whatever", and walked away. OMG.....what is going on here??? I did nor said nothing for this person TO GO OFF ......Really??? The waitress sent the shift manager to our table. By this time I'm in tears......explained what had happened. Shift manager did her very best to try to rectify, but I have to say that I'm 68 yrs old and eat out occassionally, and NEVER have I had such an experience. Shift manager replaced my order so that it was fresh and warm. As I'm eating the scrambled eggs there's something in my mouth that's hard and sharp. I was lucky to spit it out instead of swallowing it. It was a sharp piece of ceramic. At that point I became very very upset and just wanted to leave. Did the kitchen spit on my food as well??? Why should I have to question that??? WHAT DID I DO?????? Told the shift manager, and we walked out. What kind of people does this Cracker Barrell...
Read moreCan I give negative stars. Got to Cracker Barrel at 310, a busser came and got our drink order at around 325, didnt see anyone back at our table, a waitress came to the table next over (Shaynea) and I gathered her attention she went to find our waitress( she said it should be sarah and her trainee) and noone came back for 10 more minutes. When Shaynea came back, she took our order, and didnt see anyone for another 15 minutes, at that time it was yet a different waitress bringing our food, our drinks still left empty. TIM, bless him came and gave us our bisquits, even tho we were supposed to have cornbread and biscuits, he acknowledged we got the short end of the stick between 3 big parties. I asked for a manager and when she came over, very NON apologetic, said the stress must have gotten to Shaynea and she had to leave, never an apology or anything. She then shoved Sarah at our table, who was supposed to have been our waitress the while time (per another server telling us, who our server was) the only thing Sarah did was offer us water that we didnt even have, we had sweet tea, and handed us out check. NO APOLOGY FROM ANYONE BUT TIM, not even the offer of a free dessert.
I absolutely realize today is EASTER, but 2 tables with bigger parties then ours (only 3 of us) were seated and orders placed before we even got asked what we wanted to order.....
Go someplace else, or at the very least make sure Sarah doesnt waitress for...
