Damn Fine Pizza? Eh, Slightly Decent Pizza is more accurate.
Ordered a half pepperoni, half sausage pizza, and a chicken Caesar salad, and that cost $32. A little pricey, but sure, it's a homegrown place so I'll shell out a few extra. Except that my pizza was only a 12 inch pizza and each topping was $1.50 each. The salad was a Caesar salad with a $2 add-on for 3 strips of chicken that weren't even cut into bite-sized pieces and were barely over 1/4"" wide.
The pizza itself was mid at best. The red sauce has a slight touch of red pepper flakes, which is welcome, but doesn't benefit the pie overall. The entire slice's cheese and toppings separated from the crust when I pulled a slice out and took the first bite for every slice. The crust was good, but exactly what I'd expect from anyone that isn't a chain.
The salad came in a 5"x7" takeout box, was stuffed with salad, and only had a single 2oz container of Caesar dressing. The dressing was probably the best thing I've had from my order.
What's disappointing is that their restaurant is really nice, and looks like a great date night place. Unfortunate that their food is entirely forgettable. Then again, you can't have good places without there being okay ones.
Overall like a 4 out of 10. Probably won't be back unless the 4 closer pizza places...

Why did I wait so long to come here? Walking into this place smelled amazing exactly what a great pizza place should smell like. I'm normally an extra sauce and cheese kinda woman but we had the Pep Pep and it was so perfectly balanced I would never change it. I'm picky about pizza and finally a place where I don't feel like I'm settling! The pepperoni was spicy (like it should be)! We also had cheese bread. I'm not sure what cheese exactly they used(I did see they source their cheese locally in the PNW area so they have a great hook up) but wow that cheese is good! And it was perfectly garlicky! I've not been this pleased with pizza since I lived in Chicago and that was a decade ago!
I also am picky about cocktails (living with a great cocktail maker ruins you) but their La Concha was amazing (I'm a sucker for anything with egg whites) I don't know how I'm going to try anything else!
The service was great we never had to ask for anything and all our needs were met before we needed them! You don't see service like this anymore.
We had an amazing time here and I already want to go back! Pizza has never been high on my list of foods to go out and enjoy but this place has...
Read moreWas here July 1st during their new launch. Pizza was excellent, a new york style with some of the west coast comforts we're all accustomed to. I think it was due to the newness of the launch, but pizza was served with paper plates and beer in plastic cups, very much a vibe of being at a party you didn't intend to show up to - which is ok. Service was good considering we had to order at the bar, I'll take that over having bad table staff any day.
The only downside of this Damn Fine Pizza is the price, it's a little steep for the area. Like Seattle steep. Granted, we had a "King Volcano" which included multiple ingredients such as jalapeño and pineapple, so it was one of the more expensive options. I just hope the can bring this top end down a little. More and more folks are being squeezed and cutting higher cost dinning experiences is one of the first things we all do. I REALLY want to see this Damn Fine place thrive and continue to become a staple of PO, so this review only...
