This is a beautiful location, especially when it is sunny outside. You can get a great view of any passing boats and of Bremerton. There are tons of things to do here from swimming, live concerts, the market, the playground, to even just enjoying the views that are there. Lady Washington herself can be seen docked from time to time at the marina.
As nice as this park is, it does hold many secrets. Such an instance is the fact that the pipes under the playground don't connect to what you may think but actually are connected to the homes of the water spirits and the lost ghosts of Port Orchard's past. I've also seen many myths come to light, such as the man lost at sea, in this case it is the man lost at Sinclair Inlet and sometimes you might see him pop up and scream for help, but only at the dead of night when you are alone with no one else nearby. Also, be careful of the rocks along the waterfront as they are mimics...

She is now 13 and still loves it here on the Port Orchard Waterfront period when the tide is out we walk on the beach and look at all the things in the sand. They have bands on occasion, check your local Chamber of Commerce for details. There are restrooms, picnic benches, it covered sitting area kind of like bleachers. They have a wonderful children's area. And as you can see by the photos there is a road to walk around and walls that are painted beautifully. There is handicapped parking abundantly. Read moreWe greatly enjoy this park, nicknamed the "spinny park," for all of the spinning toys and the gorgeous views of Sinclair Inlet and the naval shipyard. There are benches to sit and take in the views as well as stairs down to the beach where you can enjoy soft sand! My kids always wish that there were swings, monkeybars or slides, but this is a small, nontraditional park that is fun in it's own way. Older kids enjoy climbing some of the larger toys and there are plenty of toddler-sized spinning...
