Veterans Living History Museum — Attraction in Port Orchard

This is an impressive private collection of Military memorabilia. Dale met us at the door and was so welcoming and kind. We hung out for about 30 minutes. He walked us through the collection and he told us stories about the items, the folks and about the related conflict or war.

Dale is a wealth of historical knowledge. I can't believe how much he knows and remembers. This is one of those places that every time you visit, I'm sure you will find something new to talk about or see.

If you like attractions that are a labor of love then this is for you. My girlfriend and I were visiting the Seattle area in July 2023 and stopped here. Dale has an impressive collection of military memorabilia and has stories to tell about his entire collection and it is very varied and interesting. Dale's knowledge is impressive and it is clear he does this because he really cares about the people who made these memories. If ever there was a worthy cause for a go fund me effort, it would be for a space 10 to 50 times larger than this to display the heart and soul and history here, because it’s all here and it is crammed full and deserves room to spread out a bit.
