I have really enjoyed coming to this bakery every year for both my boys birthday cakes for the passed 6 years. It’s really sad that I won’t be back. Very disappointed in the customer experience and the cake itself. The picture of the cake I originally sent was a large sheet cake- to feed 30-35 people. This cake was very tiny and barely fed everyone. Not the size of the cake I had thought it was going to be. Not to mention I get a call the morning of my sons party that we needed to pick the cake up at a later time because it was not finished. Which I accommodated of course (even though we ordered the cake 4 weeks prior) once we picked up the cake all the figurines fell off and smeared the frosting. $52 for this small cake that barely fed our party of 30-35 people. Sad. We loved this bakery. Very disappointed. I have boughten cakes in the past from here that were much larger for the same price. Time to look for a new bakery! 😢

3/23: Leaving this review hoping someone will see it. Went here for the first time today and ordered several donuts and a cheese/pastrami sandwich, just to try them out. Every single piece tasted off in some way. (All except those rolled/fried tortillas) The bread on the sandwich was SO salty--saltier than the pastrami itself. The crullers were uncooked/wet in the middle. The long chocolate donuts were NOT sweet and lacked salt, basically flavorless dough. The "Bismark" was chewy, but that may just be personal preference or because we ordered later in the day. I'm hoping whoever baked these just had an off-day or maybe didn't taste test what they were baking, because it's so weird that everything would *taste* so off. We might give this place one more try in the future. Will update this review next time we visit.

I’m forever on the hunt for a great doughnut, but this is a challenge in the PNW for some reason. Grrrrr. The interior of this little bakery in Pt. Orchard is kind of funky (not necessarily a bad thing) but it’s clean. The baked good cases were small with limited choices, but again, this is not a bad thing per se. I wouldn’t say the layout was particularly mouth-watering or inspiring either, BUT they’re not a chain (hooray!), the service was cheerful/friendly, and while the apple fritter I ordered was small for $3, it was tasty. Solid 3 stars. Despite the bakery being located in a drab strip mall, lots of people came & went while I enjoyed my fritter in the car, so the people-watching was also decent (definitely a win and worth a 4th star). Would try it again next time I’m on the peninsula.

I ordered some “custom” cupcakes from what used to be nostalgia bakery but is now Sherry’s Cafe. Normally I would make them, but it was a busy week. I saw a beautiful cake they had made for a friend’s birthday party so I thought I knew what to expect. I gave them several referral pictures and they said they could make it happen. Fast forward to pick up time, and I’m telling you it was so bad the only thing I could do was laugh once I got to my car. I’m not confrontational and should have said something when I saw the cupcakes but the customer service was just so bad already I didn’t want to deal with it. I paid $3 per cupcake so I was expecting some superb creations. What I got instead were some of the smallest cupcakes I’ve ever seen. The frosting colors were off and the decoration/vibe were so wrong it looked like I was celebrating Christmas rather than the holiday I had actually requested. Half the cupcakes looked like they could have been decorated by my 6 year old. The only conciliation is that my family loved the taste of the vanilla cupcakes. They got that right at least. I ended up having to salvage them with my own make shift decorating skills on the fly and I was still quite embarrassed to hand them out to my sons class. $76 down the drain. All in all- complete buyers remorse. I seriously regret not making them myself. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for your...

We went to the ladies at Nostalgia Bakery to see if they could help us decide on a 50th wedding anniversary cake. Their prices were far below any other bakeries I checked on. We just wanted a simple white cake with white frosting and Bavarian creme between layers with a few white roses to resemble our original wedding cake. They far surpassed our expectations! The cake was much prettier than the original and, from what I remember from 50 years ago, equalled our cake in quality and taste. We highly recommend Nostalgia for all pastry selections. Their donuts are made daily, hand cut and don't have a greasy after-taste. Their pastries are the same and not overly sweet like so many others. For donuts, get there early as they sell out quickly. Thanks ladies at Nostalgia for helping to make our 50th anniversary one to remember . We will definitely be back...
