I love that they don’t discriminate and the owners are very passionate people. I will have to try it again.
The one time I went is carved into my mind and it is impressively the worst customer service experience I’ve had in my entire life 😭 Yes 5 stars but this was awhile ago and involved one individual who probably doesn’t work there anymore anyways. Looking back it feels more like an SNL skit haha Went in with my mom and dad. (I was 27 by the way so not as if I triggered a parental response) It started great! I thought the waitress was super nice and personable. She enjoyed conversation so I asked her about the shake flavors and which ones are best. Mistake. lol She took us to look at the machine and menu board which I thought was nice and interactive. Slowly she began to make weirder and weirder comments and judgements. I get it. High energy environment. I’ve been carried away before in a fast pace job.
After she brought us our drinks she started to listen into our conversations and trying to correct things and argue about things we said ——while she was across the room! I started noticing her standing a few tables away actively watching us and silently reacting. I know my dad can seem like he has … a problem. Maybe she just wanted to be supportive and didn’t know how. His problem is that he has a traumatic brain injury. At first I kept thinking she was playing. I’d laugh it off, I’d retort with something wild goofy or over the top. I just kept thinking it was a bit and we were having fun. But I was also thinking “wow she is committed to this skit” She apparently thought “we weren’t taking her objections and critical life advice seriously” (I mean i was not lol) and that made her furious. She commented on health, on life choices, firmly pushed back on things as if we were on some TLC help show and she was the expert 😭
The end was the best. I asked for a box because my parents wanted to give the left overs to their dog. She refused to hand me the box. Pulled it away, kept it hovering above the table and aggressively commanded “JUST THE MEAT” I plopped the whole rest of burger piece into the box. (No onion, garlic, or avocado) She loudly sighed and rolled her eyes. Huffed as she stomped away as if she failed to save us all. My parents and I were in complete shock. I was too worked up at the time to escalate it and wanted to keep my dad calm.
I genuinely hope she’s doing well. I still can’t believe I had a customer service experience close to a scene from Seinfeld. I went through a phase of really liking the old dinner sassy waitress comedic vibe so if she hadn’t been so genuinely infuriated at the end I wouldn’t have minded the immersive experience as much lol Or she’s an AMAZING character actor. I guess 5 stars for that.
Honestly if she was able to open her own restaurant, make it a freeway 80s dinner vibe and bring that attitude and passion like the insult restaurants with a twist- i would 100% be down and eat there. I just didn’t expect for my parents and I to be constantly critiqued and talked down to while out to lunch that day.
To fiercely opinionated waitress: I hope you’re doing well, found a less upsetting job or became more amicable. At the end of the day I don’t know what you were going through at that time. Luckily I was in a fairly alright place and it didn’t get to me. I’ve found the set up and concept of it funnier and funnier as time goes on.
Oh and the food was pretty good haha. Fairly overshadowed however the dog did love the leftovers -...
Read moreI’m easy to please and can’t even remember ever writing a bad review for product or services, but after what I experienced tonight at That One Place in Port Orchard, it has me reevaluating my life. HaHa. Seriously though, the owners of the restaurant should train their young employees in professionalism and how to properly prepare orders. I moved to the area two yrs ago and treated myself to their expensive burgers maybe seven times and have generally been happy. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME MY ORDER HAS BEEN PREPARED WRONG. The 1st time I was given a coupon without even asking – Thank you. I work a customer service related job 10-14hrs/day. What happened at this restaurant was one of the poorest examples of customer service/professionalism that I have ever experienced. I read out loud my order to the young man at the register, who repeated what I said and confirmed they would replace the 1/4 lb cheeseburger bun with sourdough, and replace the fries with salad. GREAT! I pick my order up and drove 3 miles home to find there is NO MEAT in my partners ¼ lb burger! My GF calls to notify them as I drive back, and when I arrive, a young woman said as I walked in “your GF called. We will make sure to add meat, and confirm there’s lettuce, tomatoes, catchup, mustard and pickles” (repeated what we ordered). GREAT! She brings out a larger container and said “you should check to make sure we put everything inside this time”. I’m in a hurry because MY burger melt is getting cold back home. I flip open the container and clearly see there is meat this time, plus lettuce and what seems to be a pickle sticking out the side. GREAT! I drive home at we start to eat. My GF who owns a customer service related business expresses that “they should compensate you for having to drive back for this”. As we eat, she notices there are NO PICKLES. She opens the burger and the pickle I thought was hanging out, was actually just a thick piece of lettuce. GF calls them, and the young woman who answered tells her “I told your BF to check and he said it was OK”, or something like that. I tried getting on the phone to explain what I saw to them, but my GF sensed my anger and went into the other room. When she came out, she starting writing an email to the restaurant through the address provided by the young woman, because THERE WAS NO ONE IN CHARGE on a Friday 01/01/25 evening (?!?!?!). The young woman also said something like, “maybe there wasn’t enough pickles for you to notice”. Do they claim imaginary pickles in our burger counts? Remove the “Customer Contact” hyperlink on your website, IT’S USLESS. The email kept bouncing, so my GF calls and speaks to a young man this time to confirm the email - Prob the same one who took my order in person. The young man told my GF, “there was meat in the burger the 1st time”. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ACCUSED OF LYING by several restaurant employees, especially for something so obvious as missing meat? This is my 1st time in 52 yrs. I’m easy to please and generally low maintenance. All I ask is my expensive burger is made the way I want. Hot tip! The Burger King right next to that restaurant never messed up my order. Good luck, health, love and happiness fellow...
Read moreWould have given 5 stars all around especially since its Christmas Day and they are helping the community. However, the owner Jamie refused to let me eat a Christmas Meal with my Family. I will give the credit where it is deserved, they help the community by providing a free dinner for families, However, as a person who has servere disabilities, and recently got a puppy who is only a 10 month old and has only started training as a Service Dog and has all his registration to prove it through USA Dog Registry and from my neurologist and I'm scheduled to pick up another from my psychiatrist, I have to make proper accommodations during his training. He doesn't know all commands yet. He isn't supposed to, that's how t training works. He wasn't barking, whining or growling, or jumping on anyone. He jumped on the table we sat at but got off on majority of commands. He was excited, yes, moving around, yes, but still sat 25% of the time, stayed 10% of the time and got off 7% of the time. We were there only 5 minutes. He was not bugging anyone but the owner Jamie, because I was telling him his commands. Jamie made me leave right after getting my meal that my husband got me while I controlled my dog and working with him. Training takes hours, time and patience, clearly something she doesn't understand. It doesn't happen in a day, night or week, not even in a month. He was excited but did not disturb anyone but Jamie, and not even by jumping on anyone, barking, growling or whining, but just because I was controlling him like I am supposed to as his handler. In all honesty I feel discrimination for having disabilities of a severe nature and needing a Service Dog against the owner of That One Place by the Owner. The one thing the owner doesn't understand, is that my Service Dog in Training does know and is mastering, is what I need him to do most, the Services he Needs to be aware of for my Neurological Disabilities and Psychological Disabilities, because NOT ALL DISABILITIES ARE VISIBLE! That is what's most important for a Service Dog in Training or any Service Dog for that matter. When my family was done, they reported back stating that the server that served sodas ignored the rest of them, and was rude. My daughter requested another soda and was refused another while others at different tables decided more drinks. My entire family was treated badly all because I had Service Dog in Training and Disabilities and was forced to leave illegally. My dog has been welcomed at churches, Walmart and many other places and they understand his age, that he is in training and accepts the paperwork...
