Without a doubt the worst restaurant in the area, the place is completely run down, dirty and looks like it was furnished with salvation army donations. The toilets were absolutely disgusting with rusted out fittings and stench of sewer gas. The worst part though, Hands down was the food. Firstly this place is supposed to be family friendly yet there is no kids menu, trying to find something to put together for children to eat off their extremely limited menu was a struggle enough, if it had been edible then they would have gained a few points, however a few dried out chicken strips and a handful of fries for $22 is absolutely ridiculous and over twice the price of any other local restaurant's version. The star of the show though was my salted piece of shoe leather that was passed off as a new York strip at an astonishingly overpriced $39!. This was one of the most dissatisfied I have ever been eating a steak, I asked for medium rare, what I got was a completely dried out, tough, overcooked slab of tasteless meat with enough salt on it to dry brine an entire cow. Coupled with only a jacket potato with just a lump of butter and dollop of sour cream It certainly wasn't worth the $38.99 asking price (It still wouldn't be worth it at half this price). Overall a complete and utter failure of an evening, from the cleanliness, lack of timely service and horrendous food I can honestly say the only highlight of the evening was leaving. To anyone thinking of trying this run down restaurant, Don't! Save your money and your stomach and head to one of the much better kept establishments nearby, this place is a hard pass.

Alex's place is one of Port Richey's best kept secrets! We were there with a large group of 14 people and somehow the single waitress got the food out quickly, it was all perfect and everyone got what they ordered 1st try! Prime rib was the special that night but there was a spread of different entrees ordered. The prime rib was delicious, juicy, tender, flavorful and honestly the best I've ever had. How they accomplished this with our large group and several other customers is beyond me but i and the entire group were impressed. Many are long time customers and the person who invited us has this large dinner every year at Alex's. The entire meal was amazing, the environment was classy/casual if that makes sense and the waitress was a-ma-zing! It was definitely a memorable experience and we are definitely new, lifetime customers!

This was our first time dining at Alex Place. This is a relaxed atmosphere with a full bar and dining. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious! We had the daily special which was BBQ Ribs. The portions were huge. With the entre that good, I wished I had saved room to try some dessert. There is always next time. The menu selection is on the small side. But I will take quality over quantity any day.

Listen, this is important. If you can find any place like this for an older crowd, where you feel 100% welcomed by everyone in the place, this is it. Hand's down the best experience I have ever had in a restaurant/bar. It's a hole in the wall from the outside, but it's the closest thing to Cheers in the south. It was neat and tidy, clean and the drinks were great. But most of all, that food was amazing. Prices we're beyond reasonable for the handcrafted food that they serve. This is not a drill, the food alone is worth a visit. The staff is beyond wicked and so laid back. The crowd was a hoot and everyone knew everyone and we felt like we were part of the crew. You MUST like talking to people because it's part of the experience. I'm rather speechless at the gem we found and if there is any reason to come to Florida, then Alex's Place is absolutely worth the visit. Come for a snack or a drink and stay for the company. Man, I'm going...

Update: I left after my sandwich that takes 5 minutes to cook STILL wasn't out after 45 minutes. Reported the sewage smell to the Department of Health.

One of the most expensive places in Port Richey, for food that wouldn't impress me at Denny's. Nauti Oar a block away is vastly superior in every way, go there instead.

There is a noticeable smell, which I know from working in restaurants is pooled water + food sludge from hosing down the floors and not cleaning the water up. I took the liberty of contacting the department of health about that and four other violations I could spot without leaving my table.

Ordered a Philly at 7:03, I'm still waiting for it at 7:33. Don't go here if you don't have an hour to wait for your food. You could order Uber Eats from Applebee's on the other side of town and it'll be there faster, and cheaper with no...
