I feel bad posting something sub-par, but I believe the owner Kyle G will do good on addressing things.
I love dining - done it all around the world - good spots, bad spots. No matter what, I never make the staff feel like they made an error or cause any more grief than needed. If a mistake is made, my wife and I just smile and roll with the punches.
Ate here on 9/12 (for my wife’s 30th) - made notes in the reservation about the birthday, and it was acknowledged - thank you folks for that.
Start with the good: They don’t charge for the first corking fee (much appreciated) - brought in a single bottle of champagne for my wife.
They were okay with us bringing our own little 6” cake and accommodated it right away as we walked in.
The table had some nice light birthday decorations and a Happy Birthday card (again, appreciated and a nice little touch) thank you to the staff.
Atmosphere is beautiful - the patio setting is great with the big heart in the background. The bar is beautiful and boasts a great selection. And of course the dining room was stylish and pleasing to the eye.
If it was all about looks, it would be a 4 star rating. Unfortunately the entire restaurant rather disappointed between the service and the food.
The eh -
We were seated quickly in the furthest obscure indoor table near the restroom hallway (again, it was a special occasion - wife’s 30th) took just under 15 minutes to be greeted by the server who offered tap water.
The man I assumed to be the general manager fumbled with bus boys and hostesses for the entire time I dined with trying to figure out how to set up tables for a bigger dining party. It was distracting to say the least.
I mentioned we had a bottle we brought which was on the table - our server said no problem. Nearly another 15 minutes later we were brought an ice bucket for the bottle and a few minutes later brought proper champagne flutes - it’s been 30 minutes, finally I’ve got a drink in hand. I had to all but ask to have it opened and poured. We were offered berries with the champagne, that was appreciated.
We ordered the crab cocktail to start - and to both of our surprise once it arrived (and rather quickly) the crab was literally room temp almost warm. Was expecting nice cold, fresh crab meat, and was a little off put, especially for the $$.
No problem - after a while our server came back and got our dinner orders. My wife had the braised short rib and I had the filet “medallions” - I put this is parentheses because you get (2) very tiny, very underwhelming pieces of meat, served on top of what was a scoop of slopped on mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Zero attempt at really plating the dish.
We asked for a side of Alfredo pasta - we were brought marinara, not a big deal, but eh.
Flavor was good on my dish - and although my wife had a much larger portion with the braised short rib, the flavor was missing completely from the dish, which was surprising because it looked like it was gonna be great.
Lastly, we brought in our own cake, but were still given dessert menu’s & served a nice cannoli which was excellent, really. We let our server know that we were going to get pictures with the cake but not eat it as we had family at home we were going to enjoy it with.
I asked for a lemon cello and the check - the check came after a while - no lemoncello. Wasn’t charged for it, but dang - that was at least going to kinda hit the spot, eh.
We are local tradition residents - living literally 6 minutes from this restaurant. This is our first time there and have been so excited to try it (as the beachfront Kyle G’s has always been excellent) and it was unfortunate to walk outta there just having had an eh-OK dinner.
Not sure I’ll be back for a dining experience - maybe just stick to happy hour at the bar.
I’m sure it’s growing pains from just opening not much more than a month ago, but I suppose it is what it is. For this level of pricing / the caliber of the staff needs to...
Read moreDisappointed! We were really excited about visiting but I don’t think we will be back. Maybe in a few months once they get settled because they are NOT READY.
Didn't get the table we reserved: We had an 8pm reservation and we arrived 20mins early so were told to wait outside and come back at 8pm. We were perfectly fine waiting because we were early, but 5 mins later they called us and said our table was ready. Our issue here is that they seated us at a high top in the bar and it was super LOUD and we would barely hear each other.
The service: Our server was James. He was never rude or mean but he just didn’t seem like he cared. He NEVER once asked how was our food or refilled our water.
We ordered a soda and when my husband tasted it, it was flat. We asked him if we could have another one and we got the impression he didn’t want to be bothered because his response was “I think it’s just like that??!” I pushed further and told him maybe the soda machine needed a refill. He took the drink and after a while he came back and said something was wrong with the machine it’s not carbonating the drinks…
We ordered apps - Fritto Misto, Bianca pizza and mains- Pork Chop and Ribeye. It took a while to get the Fritto and at one point when he saw us eating the pizza he was like “you didn’t get the calamari?” And we were like Nooo… A couple minutes later the manager came with it, but it was overcooked and rubbery.
Here is where I got frustrated, more than half way through the apps, he came back and told us they were out of pork chops! Obviously not his fault, but I was already not enjoying the food or service so at that point I didn’t want another entree because I so annoyed!
I am guessing he told the manager because the manager came over and he was super nice and tried to make it right. I explained that the food and service were just okay, not terrible but definitely NOT GOOD or what I expected. He offered to remove the Fritto Misto. I told him he didn’t need to do that because I already ate more than half and we don’t mind paying for it because that’s what we ordered. He insisted, which was kind of him.
Finally, my husband’s steak came out and OF COURSE another disappointment! The first thing we noticed was that it didn’t have the garlic butter. We mentioned it to the server and he IMMEDIATELY responded that it “should be” on there. As you can see in the picture there was NOTHING on the steak…. We called him back and he said he would bring us “extra” garlic butter. But it was obvious that there wasn’t any on it in the first place…. He never cared to asked if the steak was cooked how my husband liked or anything.
The food: Flat soda: -100/10 -machine was not working, per James Fritto - 3/10 - calamari over cooked Pizza - 2/10 - too much garlic - tasted bitter Ribeye medium (WITH GARLIC BUTTER)- 8/10 perfectly cooked and tons of flavor with garlic butter.
Overall experience 4/10. The service was the worst part. The manager did try to make it right by taking off both apps ( we never asked for this, we would have paid for the entire thing). It was just funny to us that they still included the flat soda that we sent back to the bill.
16% service fee was included in the bill. We normally add additional tip but choose not to due to the experience.
I don’t think we’ll be back, but I hope...

Dining at Amore Italian Chophouse in Tradition on their second day of opening was, hands down, one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve ever had—and I’m not one to leave reviews unless it’s that bad. Spoiler alert: it was that bad.
I came here for a special occasion with a group of young women, excited to enjoy a beautiful night out. It started off promising—our waitress was lovely and attentive at first. She took our orders and then, just like magic, disappeared. Never saw her again. Not even for a second to check in, bring food, offer water—nothing.
Eventually, Kyle G himself (yes, the Kyle G) came over and seemed nice enough. We were optimistic things would turn around. But the moment we started eating, that all went straight downhill. Fast.
Enter Louis—the general manager, who needs a serious lesson in professionalism and basic human respect. This man approached us mid-meal with absolutely zero courtesy or tact, asking us (out of nowhere) how we were planning to pay. Mind you, our waitress had already confirmed we were splitting checks—so why is this being brought up now, rudely, and by someone else?
It didn't stop there. We had to repeat ourselves FIVE times about how we were splitting the bill because apparently Louis couldn't be bothered to listen. Then, while my friends were still pulling out their cards, I said I’d be using Apple Pay. And this man—with no patience or professionalism—snaps back with, “Okay, let’s go,” in the nastiest tone possible. I literally had to remind him that he hadn’t collected everyone else’s payment yet. His response? Still, “Let’s go.” Who raised you?
So here I am, walking to the payment station in HEELS, aggravated, uncomfortable, and still trying to keep my composure. And now I have to stand there for over five minutes while he charges everyone else first, even though he rushed me. But wait, it gets better: he still couldn’t get the charges right after we’d explained who was paying for what SIX TIMES. He messed it up anyway.
At that point, I demanded to speak with Kyle G himself. He was there, supposedly overseeing things. But surprise—he never came, never called, never followed up. The only communication I got was a quick brush-off from another so-called “manager,” and the issue is still unresolved to this day.
Amore might look nice, but it’s all for show. The attitude? Horrible. The management? Clueless and disrespectful. The service? Absent. If you want to be treated like a nuisance instead of a guest, go here. Otherwise—save your money, your time, and your dignity. This place is a joke.
Overhyped, overpriced, and run by people who clearly don’t understand hospitality. Save yourself the frustration. There’s nothing romantic about this place...
