So walking in I was taken aback by the support of Military, first responders, law enforcement and firefighters. Love that. The music was pretty good too. I was greeted by a great cashier (I hope her name is Rebekah- sandy haired ponytail) she was extremely friendly and welcoming and when she saw I was a first timer she asked if Iād like an overview and I was extremely wowed by her service. She offered me some samples and made the entire experience great before I even got my food. I received my food and sat down.
So the food was hit or miss. The brisket was pretty good, the jalapeƱos sausage wasnāt quite the spice I was expecting and the turkey was a little on the dryer side- I sampled some pork and can say honestly that the pork was pretty dry despite the good flavor.
The sauces were decent as they seemed more runny but the flavor on the KC and the Memphis sauces as well as the Florida sauce was great.
The sides were meh. The baked beans and blueberry were spectacular! However the rest of the sides were bland and flavorless.
However Iām glad I was offered a chance to try the rest of the sides so I know what to pick next time.
The manager, Steph, was a sweetheart. She heard it was my first time and came out to greet me and offer me some samples of sides (which I tried). I will say the level of service here is top tier. I love the pro-hero feel to this establishment. I have a mission by my home in Kenosha, Wisconsin and never went in. I will say that if the service is the same I will go there. But I feel like it wonāt be the same. Steph and Rebekah (please let that be her name. It was the name on the front of the register and I lost my receipt). They should be lauded as ambassadors of Mission as they were kind, friendly, efficient and made sure to check up on me multiple times. Anyways Rebels was the name on the register and I was in there at 1:30pm on Monday 2/5. While the food was ok, the level of service is matched by few. And there were some good items in there. I know for my next visit.
Rebekah was the name on the register- she had Sandy blondish hair (could have been reddish blonde?) and was outstanding. If sheās not a manager you may want to make that happen before someone else comes in and takes her.
Love that you guys have Yoo-hoo. And if I were a soda drinker Iād be very impressed with your bottled selection.

Good morning or afternoon, depending on the time you read this email. Please allow me to take a moment of your time to share my experience at the Saint Lucie West Mission BBQ store with you. Iāve been coming to Mission at least once a week for the last 3 months, and usually have the lady or a couple of friends with me. Usually, my experiences there are very good; the staff is friendly, polite, and courteous, and I have grown to appreciate the service, the food, and the overall sense of enjoyment.
My most recent visit to Mission completely eclipsed my previous experiences. We had a work gathering coming up and I suggested Mission BBQ as the place; everyone in my department has heard me speak highly of the place in the past, and it was settled. When we arrived, we were greeted by the store manager, Nefali āNeftyā Torres. The gentleman not only made it an enjoyable, warm, and welcoming visit, but he was above and beyond just being courteous. He checked on our party several times, had the drinks refilled, sauces lined up and explained, kept the food coming, and the smiles going. The food was stellar as always, but the overall experience was elevated beyond any expectations anyone in our group could have ever had.
In short, because of Nefty our outing to Mission BBQ turned out to be a wonderful, team-bonding, memorable experience, and most of us live in the area and will certainly see Nefty again. And again, and again.
Thank you for bringing a wonderful, family and first responder-oriented place into our neighborhood as well as for staffing it with wonderful, caring, and professional...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was our first time at Mission BBQ in Port St. Lucie, Florida. As we walked up to the counter we realized we weren't sure how to order based on how the menu board is laid out. I asked the cashier (Kayla) to explain the process since it was our first visit. She immediately came from behind the counter, stood with us and pointed to the menu and explained in detail how your process works. She then asked if we would like samples of the side dishes. I said, that isn't necessary and she went back behind the counter to take our order. When my name was called. An employee was standing near us and asked if I wanted him to go get my order. I said, sure. When he arrived with our meals he had samples of the sides which was an unexpected surprise. I asked his name and Preston told us that he is a mgt. trainee. He then explained each one of the sides along with the different bbq sauce flavors. Preston was top notch. I owned restaurants for almost 30 years and I'm usually critical of today's restaurant hospitality and service. But not today! From the sweet iced tea, the fresh HOT French fries to the perfect description of the bbq sauces, we were impressed. We are building a home in the area and just happened to choose Mission BBQ as our place for a late lunch but, it is now our favorite restaurant in our new city. We have already mentioned it to some friends in Fort Pierce and they look forward to visiting this location. The attention to detail, hospitality and service is second to none. The " Have a nice afternoon" as we were leaving was the cherry on the top. Well...
