Living in the area due to Covid 19 I decided to check out Annie's Donut Shop. The first thing I noticed was that the staff and even the customers seemed friendly and literally worked as a team keeping a safe social distance by even waiting in their perspective cars for their turn in line and everyone easily and politely was able to be served cheerfully in the order in which they arrived. Then it's Showtime! The selection of Beautiful works of art is truly amazing not to mention the tantalizing smell of confections permeates the entire neighborhood. The literal family of staff are all serious Donut enthusiasts operating with a style and graciousness that is quite symphonic. Every single kind of Donut is different down to the ingredients. These Donuts never taste or feel all the same. Finally after making your selection you will always be asked if you would like something to drink, it's a thing, coffee or milk truly accompanies any Donut. With contactless payment it's also very easy to appropriately give a gratuity to somehow give a little thanks for such great example of what an Old school neighborhood family business experience and service is really all we still love to have in our lives. If you just need a quick Donut fix for one or absolutely amazing Donuts for friends, family, coworkers, any Holiday event, or just someone you love, Annie's Donuts Shop is a sure way to impress! Thank you Annie's Donuts Shop for all you do and for your perfectly crafted Donuts. Sincerely, Richard...

This little shop has been open for 20+ years but I only just recently discovered it.
Their donuts are light and fluffy with the perfect amount of glaze, frosting and filling in, and on, each donut they make.
The customer service at this adorable little shop is also very good. The couple that run this establishment are polite and courteous to each and every customer I have seen them encounter. And if you manage to catch a smile on these hard working people, you'll find their smile to be very heartwarming.
I highly recommend this shop for their great donuts and charming personality for both the shop and the lovely people that work so hard to keep it running.
In addition; this shop opens its doors at 5 in the morning and stays open, constantly making new donuts through out the day before closing at 10 at night. This is a great place for a late snack and friendly faces. Feel free to stop in if you want to try one of their...
Read moreI've been hunting for a new donut shop since I moved to the east side a few months ago, and I have to say this made a serious case for it! I asked this morning for their best donuts -- they recommended either an apple fritter or the maple bar. I took the latter, plus my standard go-tos of a plain cake and a french cruller. The plain cake was solid, nothing to write home about (but that's why you get it!). The maple bar itself was a good donut, and the maple frosting was very well done.
And the cruller...I don't know why they didn't throw that front and center, because it's one of the best crullers I've had since I moved to Portland 12 years ago. A lot of places overcompensate by cramming so much sugar into the crevices of the cruller that you can hardly taste anything else, but not this one. Not too sweet, not too eggy, just the right amount of sugar and lightness while still being...
