I've been going to this library since 6th grade, and now its parking lot has become my refuge. I don't go inside the library because it's quite small and I am easily distracted by visual and auditory queues. The library has about six shared tables for people to use their laptop or read, including another few tables reserved for children. My solution to that is just to sit in my car to do my reading/research/work/study using my personal xfinitywifi account (their wi-fi hotpots are often located near a library for some reason), with the library's wi-fi as my backup. I've caught the attention of the library security guard once. He kind of peeked into what I was doing in my car, and saw that I was on my laptop writing up a paper so he didn't bother to knock on my window. Read moreI wouldn’t recommend this library if you have a child with disabilities. When we visited the children’s area, the staff was not accommodating at all. I explained that my grandson is autistic, but there was no effort to adjust or support him. They were running a summer program with trinket prizes on display, which caught his attention, but he became overwhelmed and upset because he didn’t understand how to participate.
I asked for help filling out the paperwork so he could join in, but instead of offering support, the staff seemed dismissive. My grandson is only four, and of course he wanted to take part like the other kids.
