Arrived from Sfo to Portland. I googled fresh smoothies and Fresh Love popped up. It said organic smoothies juices and sandwiches. I was sold after that. Upon arriving when I pulled up in my Uber I can feel the great energy coming from this place. Very cozy as we walked in, I was greeted with fresh produce, pastries, high quality items like wild planet tuna, fresh seamoss, pasture raised yogurt, I mean everywhere you look they had a bunch of healthy food. I ordered there breakfast sandwich that comes with avocado, egg and cheese and there homemade sauce toasted on their buns. I took a bite and instantly was in heaven very delicious and filling. I also took some treats to go like a salted choclate chip cookie a bakva cake and a blueberry muffin. I have yet to try it, Ill take it with me on the Airplane ride back home to Sfo. Im pretty sure it's bomb as well. They also do lattes as well and my wife also said that was good as well. I can't wait till my next visit to Portland to come back...
Read moreI ordered a smoothie and a cookie, both of which we were just okay. Nothing special, and definitely nothing I'd want again at that price point. The atmosphere overall was fine. Not especially cozy or welcoming, but it's primarily a juice place, so I wasn't really expecting a lot. The main "meh" thing was my initial interaction with the staff. I approached the counter, and one person was making a drink, and another was counting out the cash drawer... but neither acknowledged me at all... not a hello look/nod, not a quick "be right with you," nothing. I could see they were busy which is why I didn't just blurt out my order or otherwise interrupt them, but dang, a small acknowledgement would have been nice. As it was, I felt so awkward just standing there in silence, I almost turned around to go back to the table with my friend and wait, and just then, I got a hello. Better late than never, but probably the tipping point (I tipped 18% anyway), to my...
Read moreI was looking forward to my first sampling of Bubble tea and offered to treat my 2 coworkers to a beverage of their choice. We walked in at 4.05 pm and were told that the venue was closed, though there was a lady walking out who looked like she had just been served. We were wearing work clothes and probably looked a little scruffy (we're builders), but I couldn't help but wonder if that was the reason we were shown the door, since it seemed odd to turn away at little last minute business. Obviously I could be mistaken but we were given no context as to why we weren't being served other than the "we're closed" reason and my colleagues also thought it a little strange. I've lived and done business in the Cully/Rose City neighborhoods for the last 25 years and was looking forward to trying out the new hip looking spot, but left a little deflated, though folks are entitled to keep hours of their choosing and turn away patrons...
