This is cool spot Been here a couple of times with never enough time to spend there. This place has been around the town in terms of its history. I actually think the mystic of a former strip club adds here! Fun place good food. If you are worried about what the address might mean for neighborhood safety - theu are on top of it. I have not had a problem and I asked a number of people who had been there before going. Its well worth the experience. The area is changing and this place is one of the landmark ones to set the tone!- literally a landmark! Go with an fun and open attitude and your expectations will be far beyond met! Prepare for fun- GO! If you are out for " Fine Diving" I way way enjoyed the food even without joy juice on board to lube up my review.! This place is really is a must for your list - and near the top! This is not some Portland Rah! Rah! Review Piece ! -Like Portland "insider"reviews that also endorses things like to stand in long line for over priced mediocre doughnuts in a pink box! ---BOOOOO!
This place realky does Rocks it - treat yourself !! GO!
Note from up North in T-town- This place reminds me of an old place in Tacoma called the " Java Dive" in Nalley Valley Anyone who knows that and wishes that had gotten fixed up right to keep the "cool" going will love this place!
Owners-Nice job on "Keeping the cool đ alive" đ đ đ đ đ!!!!!! -Very...
Read moreThe Sandy Jug is a perfect neighborhood bar. The recent remodel resulted in a cozy time capsule that takes me back to the 70âs with its dim swag lights and velvet paintings. They took care to preserve parts of the old bar and highlight the architectural details of the jug. A small but carefully selected draft beer list should please all and I was stoked to see Von Ebertâs award winning IPA on tap. The food wonât be the best youâve ever had, but will be exactly what youâre looking for to pair with a NW IPA at a fair price point. Expect dive bar food done to perfection such as perfectly crisp tots and a flavorful chopped cheese sandwich . The bartenders have crushed lines on each visit Iâve had. Some folks seem to have not yet soaked up the take it easy vibe of the place. Music has always been a well-curated adventure into the past. The heated outside area does a great job of hiding the busy street and was the perfect spot to soak up some sun on a recent February spring fake out. Looking forward to happy hours with a book, a game with friends and maybe glimpsing a ghost of strippers past.
This project gave a heartbeat to an area that has really needed it and hope it becomes a 3rd place to many Roseway folks. Cheers to the future and a glass tip to the past of this newly...
Read moreMy visit started by my bartender refusing to make the drink i asked for a long Island insulting me saying it was a 21 year olds drink. I really don't care about what's cool to drink i just wanted what i liked. She made her own drink for me which was OK, Then I tried to open a tab using a credit card, the bartender tried to inform me that she could not accept a gift card. I told her that it was not a gift card but was a visa credit card. The card still had half the activation sticker on it and she continued to tell me that only gift cards have activation stickers She demanded another card, I told her I wanted to pay with that one, she kept saying it was a gift card.
Things were turning into an argument over my card. I know what kind of card I have. She ended up kicking us out wouldn't let me pay for my drink. Threw my card on the floor yelling at me.
I think this unstable bartender should look for another type of job. She's a horrible bartender. She demonstrated zero customer service skills insulting me then cost her employer money by refusing...
