These seemed to have gotten their act together. Nice staff, fast service, good beer, and water for dogs. Easy to recommend.
It seems like there are two goals in running a brew hall. 1, make good beer. 2, sell it.
The other day I was walking by and thought I would try some of their beer. I walked in an noticed a sign that said something like, beer here, go right, beer to go, go left. So I go left. I read the sign on the door, one person allowed in at a time. Great, look in, don't see anyone else. I walk in, lady in the place then tells me to leave as someone else is in the restroom. Okay, fair enough. If only they let me see inside the restrooms before I had entered.
I then let the lady know I'd like to buy some beer to go. She points me to the another open door, I walk over and she ask if I had ordered online, I said no, just walking by. She said, oh, the register is on the other side, can you go over there. Sure, I guess, though I didn't want beer for here. But I did want some beer.
I walk over to the other side and briefly glimpse some maze I'd have to walk through to get to the beer window, and at that point I just say to myself, "this is a lot of trouble for beer".
So, I leave, go to the Plaid Pantry across the street and have absolutely no troubles, confusion, snarky commands, in buying my beer from them.
One star, for absolutely failing to...
Read moreThis is a food cart that's located among others on the corner of 60 60th to 61st and Halsey it's really quite visible when you turn right at the light it's right there. The barley pod is on the North End right on the cross street. It has a lot of delicious looking rice bowls and some also delicious looking sausage I took the Rice bowl samurai which was designed for heat and spice but put a cool avocado sauce or green sauce on it instead it was just delicious the base of it of the bowl is right as brown rice and red beans then is added to the top bean sprouts shredded carrots pickled ginger and the green sauce which is an avocado based sauce all very very tasty just really tasty I'm looking forward to going back again but I wouldn't want to add this one comment when they could have all put together it is a hefty amount of food that they give you in this single serving $8 for the basic rice bowl and then you have choices of that in chicken tofu that's treated like feta cheese it was absolutely delicious which is what I had and other things to put on top I hope you enjoy it as...
Read moreEDIT: THEY FINALLY ADDED & ALLOWED SEATING WITHOUT THE REQUIREMENT TO BUY FROM THE BEER HALL! I CAN ENJOY THE FOOD CARTS AGAIN! Before you couldn't eat without drinking. Now you can eat but you can't drink alcohol! Whatever! Great selection of food carts.
ORIGINAL POST: The only food cart pod in the city that treats the patrons of the food carts so poorly! NONE of the MANY picnic tables there are available to be used by the food cart patrons if 1) the beer hall isn't open AND 2) if you don't buy alcohol from them. I ordered food to eat there and sat down at a picnic table at 1:55. The staff of the bar kicked me out because they didn't "open" the picnic tables until 2! I was 10 feet away from where I bought my food. NO ONE from ANY of the carts was allowed to sit down!!!!! What kind of food cart pod doesn't let the cart patrons sit down to eat the food they just bought?!?!? ZERO idea of what customer service means. If the food cart pods don't get Baeleric Brewing to change this policy and let their patrons sit down to eat they've ALL lost my business for...
