Best Taste Chinese BBQ Restaurant — Restaurant in Portland

A small Chinese restaurant that is only offering Dim Sum and BBQ items at this time.

I walked in on a Thursday afternoon and was told take-out only.

The regular menu is not being offered and I was shown the Dim Sum items on the steam table.

I selected BBQ Buns, fried sesame balls, pork and shrimp dumplings (Siu Mai), and steamed pork ribs with a pound of BBQ Pork.

The ribs did have a lot of fat, but had good taste.

The BBQ Pork was lean with a nice sweet taste.

The pork and shrimp dumplings were moist wth nice balance of flavors.

The BBQ Pork Buns had a bright red color and had a sweet taste to them.

The fried sesame balls were a little greasy, but had a nice sweet bean paste.

A nice place for Dim Sum and Chinese BBQ including duck.

Located on SE Division in Portland on SE 83rd in a small strip mall.

Went in for a to go purchase of half a duck, was greeted by a rude waitress who seemed annoyed that she had to get up and serve me. I asked for half and duck and indicated which one I wanted (I wanted one that was not completely dried out). She promptly ignored my request and told me there were all the same, and then proceeded to grab the duck that was clearly the oldest one that was separated from the others.

If that was all that happened, I would of not written this review, but after getting home I discovered that what I thought was a half a duck was clearly proportioned wrong. There was significantly less then half a duck in my to go order and on top of that most of the duck was skin.

I will not be coming back...

If I could give it zero stars I would. Their service is really bad. If you’re not Chinese then don’t expect good service. The gentlemen there are really nice but theres a lady there who provides horrible service. I asked for extra sauce and the guy was about to give it to me and she stops him and tells him not to. My sister went in to buy crispy pork and asked for the neck portion where its a more lean. The lady tells the guy to cut two end pieces to give to her and to put the middle piece which was the leaner part back in the display. We end up not eating the fatty part because it’s inedible. We absolutely will not come back to this place. I would recommend Good Taste near My Brothers Crawfish which provides much...
