I don't usually rate a place before I have visited at least 3 times but I'm making an exception for Champs
This was the best smash burger that I have ever had in Portland and one of the best burgers overall that I have had in some time
Great preparation and attention to detail with a soft fresh-baked-tasting bun made this stop special in the short time I had there
The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect for a cart out back of a tiny brewery
The biggest drawback is the complete lack of parking

Read moreWonderful burger! The champ burger with jalapeños was what I got. Oh yeah, fries too.
Burger was cooked wonderfully and felt like an elevated good diner burger. Def worth the price
The fries were exactly like 90s McDonald's fries but in a great way. Only ding is it's $5 for a smedium size of fries (little larger than small but not medium amount of fries).
Definitely get it once and decide later of you need it again, for me it's just a lil too much. (Tbh if it was $4.5 it'd trick me into think it's a good deal).
Overall great spot...

Anyway, come check it out. I’ll...
