The Incredible döner!!!

This place is the real deal. Was on the hunt for traditional Döner and hit gold! Layers upon layers of meat are marinated overnight before being placed onto the slowly rotating spit. In between all of the ultra thinly sliced meat is a mix of fresh green peppers and tomato which gives the meat a wonderful aroma and color as it rotates. The döner is gently roasted over woodfire. It’s then sliced and served once it develops a lovely char and deep smokiness. Each plate of döner is weighed and served by the plate, with a mound of the döner along with yogurt, sumac onions over fries and added veggies by request being loaded up high. Incredible flavour and texture. It’s super meaty and flavoursome - the yogurt + sea salt marination really breaks down the meat so that it’s tender and moist. Nothing quite like having a plate of this - magical. Definitely recommend! #doner #kebab...

Ok so first of all this is some of the best falafel I've ever had. I don't even usually like falafel that much because it is generally mealy and dry - this ain't that! This is soft and super flavorful and perfectly fried. The falafel gyro was loaded with fresh tomato, chopped lettuce, some onion, pickles and banana peppers. Yum. The garlic sauces and hot sauce were on point too. Dolmas are also delicious and the baklava too. Partner got the chicken gyro and said the flavors were delish, soft pita, great garlic sauces. Anyway! Support this new spot we are super excited they finally got all the carts set up. Just added a...

Unfortunately I have to revise my review; as it seems Shawarma House is either under new management or replaced the main cook. I've tried it a few times since the changeover just to make sure and it is now completely not worth eating.

Shawarma is now completely dry, no sauces, barely any vegetables, and new cook uses far too much oil. Just an oil-dripping tortilla filled with hot, dry, oily meat.

It is extremely disappointing, as the prior chef took pride in his work and the food was phenomenal, and the new cook has no idea what he is doing with the SAME...

10/10 would recommend! I got the triple meat plate with lamb, chicken, and beef over rice. Includes a bit of salad, lots of hummus, tzatziki, and parsley pita bread. All of it was super tasty and definitely a large helping. They even threw in a little falafel for me which tasted amazing! Overall really great food truck and in a perfect location with tables set up to sit and eat at and a beer and cider cart in the same truck pod to grab a drink from. Definitely will be going back to try more of their food.

Stopped in to try the lamb shawarma and WOW! Ranks up there with the best we have ever had! Wish we had a picture but ate it too fast! Super friendly, gave us a couple falafel to try and, again, SO good! We’re not typically falafel fans but actually ended up ordering the falafel plate, as well! So, so good!! Baklava for dessert was an added bonus. Crispy, light, delicate layers of sweetness rounded out the meal! Will definitely be back to try the many other delicious options!

First time visiting the food cart pod and decided to go with Shawarma House. I got the beef kebab plate. It came with pita bread, hummus and tzatziki sauce. The beef kebabs were okay. Not as flavorful as other places I’ve tried. The rice was very bland and so was the hummus. Good portions compared to other locations. The main issue was the communication barrier; the worker spoke little English, which made ordering a little confusing. If you’re patient, it’s worth a try.
