Visited early March 2020 with some (vaccinated) friends. While sitting inside was allowed we weren't comfortable with that yet so we sat at one of their outdoor corralled picnic tables (the ones up along the side of the building with temporary walls around each). It was a very tight fit for 3 adults and 2 small kids, but we made it work. Tables are really meant for ~4 adults.

They also had some tables without the corrals. If you get one of the corralled tables you can stay dry and reasonably warm even in the rain or at night. Tables have umbrellas and heaters. With the wooden walls around the table it helps keep the heat in, which made eating outside in early March feasible.

Double Mountain a favorite of my friends who live nearby. Family-friendly, but quality food and access to beer on tap and cider (there's truly something for everyone). My friends are fans of the beer and cider options.

I had the small Jersey Pie, a side salad, and their in-house root beer. I'm now a big fan of their woodfired pizza. So delicious.

The root beer was okay: more of a smooth, silky flavor. Doesn't have a sharp tang or kick (more A&W style than Henry Weinhard or Barqs). Personally I like a bit of a kick, but I'd still drink this again if I was there.

Based on the menu I would NOT recommend this for vegans. Vegetarians should be fine as they have salads and pizza without meat, but they didn't have any dairy-free options for vegans. The only vegan options would be a salad without cheese and the appetizers (olives, almonds and chips & salsa).

Also, I saw no mention of gluten-free crusts. If your GF you'd be stuck with the...

Sunday Farmer's Market on Woodstock visit thus the outdoor tables were in hot demand on a 80° day. Indoor a/c was pleasant with lots of wooden tables, beautiful long bar, and a bottle shop for To-Go sales.

CT style pizza First timer so no other comparisons here. The menu says it's a thin pie blasted to blackish char in 700° oven. It was all of that but found by my 3rd slice its crisper bottom had gone soft, maybe because it's so thin. Crust was still in good shape though, chewy with a bit of crisp left.

House sausage was spectacular with just enough fennel and medium fine grind that gets the right mouth feel. Mushrooms definitely visible were very thinly sliced and scattering of red onions made for a delicious pie. Sauce had a hint of zest and didn't overpower

Started with some greens.. and it was A Big Greek Salad for $11 but Light spring greens and a very light balsamic but prefer more crisp for texture (romaine, iceberg, green) + more tomatoes & olives.

Their ginger ale had pretty good ginger spice for an ale vs Beer. The added Hops for bitterness, 20 IBU is a definite winner and helps temp the Honey sweetness, still sweet but not as much as a regular soda. Would love a low sugar varietal akin to a Kombucha. Just $4 for a beautiful mug full that boasts a frothy head on arrival, a unique characteristic of DM's house ginger ale.

Server was attentive and helped us select an IPA that worked, giving us several samples ... Shoulda noted it after much sampling lol.

Cheers to Double Mountain for breaking CT pies with us, without an East...

I went here with a group of ladies on 8/13/19. The food was horrible. The portions minuscule, and the service is the WORST service I've had in a long time! We asked for water, it was tepid, absolutely no ice in either pitcher they brought. They finally took 1 pitcher, but never returned it. We had to ask for water, and ice, I guess they don't care about the temperature of water. I ordered a BLT, the sandwich was burnt, and it hurt the roof of my mouth when I bit into the sandwich (I should have returned it, but didn't want to make a scene.) The bacon was also burnt, the overall experience was horrendous. The waitress NEVER came by to ask about our drinks, or how the food was, and this place was NOT busy. The waitress automatically tacked on a 17% gratuity for the ABOMINABLE service. She didn't care, I guess because she knew she would automatically receive a 17% gratuity without her having to do her job. Don't go here, service is horrendous, at least the one waitress who was our server did not care about doing her job. I would have given this rating 1/4 of a star, but that was...

Great spot on the corner with a large dining room and bar area, wooden interior gives it a warm, open atmosphere with high ceilings and plenty of windows. Quite a few of their brews on tap (~15) of decent variety and a standard food menu with sandwiches and pizza we regretted not ordering as soon as we some one brought fresh out the oven. My meatball sub was what you'd expect, well sauced, accompanied by chips... I was satisfied. Coworker ordered the Reuben on marble rye, looked delicious and he reported the same. We had several beers, including both of their nitro brews, one being a pale and the other an Irish stout... quite the difference in flavor yet equally crafted with care. Tried the Hop Lion and Brut IPA as well, both enjoyable as far as IPAs go. The service was excellent, all bartenders very courteous and attentive to our thirst. Glad we stumbled upon this neighborhood attraction, we will definitely be back to wet our whistles again soon! Best, ~S

Why does every brewery have pizza??? Probably low cost. With Ruse + Assembly nearby doing the exact same thing, maybe try something else (I know, you guys were first haha). Didn’t try. I’ll go to Atlas or another local spot for pizza. Still, beers here taste great, better than what I’ve had in bottles (do they even can?). Nice grainy note to the Hop Lion, which is hard to find in IPAs. The outdoor seating is very accessible, great for wheelchairs + the COVID conscious. Wish it was heated though. Bougie, corporate Hood River vibe as expected. Not bad, but nothing stands out. Apparently fairly basic breweries like this make enough money to get by… probably funded by bougie, corporate Hood River venture capitalists…
