You guys desperately need to hire someone whose sole job is waiting tables. Having only one person working the bar, making drinks, taking orders, delivering food, cashing out tables, and everything else they do is just nonsense. Buddy and I waited for 15 minutes, were finally noticed by the gal (it wasn't one of the two normal ladies who have been there for years) who said we'd have to raise our hands to get her attention ( why is it our job to be noticed by the staff when sitting at one of your tables?) and said she'd bring us menu's. We waited another 10-15 minutes with no menu's before just leaving. While it's not entirely her fault, she knew we were there and could have brought us menus. But no menu's, no drink order.....just nothing. I've been coming here for 10+ years and it's always been slow, but this is asinine. The food has always been good, but what is the point of grabbing lunch on a Thursday if you sit there for 30 minutes and don't even get menus or a drink order put in? I hate to say it, but I think we're done...
Read moreI went to Rose City Grill to meet up with my women's group on a Thursday evening. It seemed rather pleasant. When no one came to take my drink order I finally went up to the bar to order a drink. When the waiter finally came to take our food order the my friend and I ordered a burrito to split, which the waiter said was fine. After 40 minutes my friend went up to ask if they had perhaps forgotten about our order. "No, we're just busy, was the curt reply." No apology that it was taking so long or estimate of how much longer it might be. And the place definitely did not look busy. Only about one fourth of the tables occupied. We waited another 15 minutes then left. It was the first time in my 64 years I have ever walked out of a restaurant like that. Earlier we had been saying (before we were not served) how we really liked the relaxed atmosphere and big booths which would accommodate our women's group's meetings. They definitely lost our business...
Read moreWe went here our first night while visiting and were pleasantly surprised by this local bar. On the outside it didn’t look like anything special, but inside was a fun, welcoming environment. When we first walked in we were a little overwhelmed as everyone could tell we weren’t regulars. However, the bartenders and other patrons were very welcoming and helpful. We ordered pickle fries, a veggie burger and a 1/4 cheeseburger along with a few draft beers. There was a good variety of food and drinks for everyone (including vegetarian options for my girlfriend). The food and drinks were decent, but it was the atmosphere that really stood out. Everyone was just hanging out and having a good time; playing pool, gambling at the few slot machines, and watching sports including a live stream of the Jake Paul v Mike Tyson fight. If we lived closer, this would be an awesome local bar to pop...
