Haven's Candies — Restaurant in Portland

I visited the Haven's Candies Forest Avenue store in Portland Maine on the morning of Thursday February 15th to return chocolate covered strawberries that were molded. My wife had purchased them on the Monday before Valentine's Day. She had asked if they would be good on Valentine's Day. She was told they would be fine. When we opened them on Valentine's Day they were moldy. We were not very upset, because things like this can happen. Haven's Candies have been great to work with over the past 30 years. When I brought them into the store for an exchange I relayed the story of what happened. The person in charge, I believe her name is Judy, basically told me that I was lying. She said that they never tell people what my wife was told. I was totally insulted. I can't believe she handled the situation this way. Very unprofessional, extremely poor...

Called to see what the prices were on there strawberries for this year as last year it was a real rip off ! Went to market basket, checked there imported chocolate and low and behold it was delicious and was a much better price ! Have ordered 100 chocolates strawberries for the hospital , the long stem ones which are delicious! Havens may be Havens but not for what there offering in there generic...

They have the great old style candy you think they don't make anymore plus such wide rage of chocolates, gummy's, hard candy's & they go above for every holiday! They are a bit pricy but I guess in some cases you get what you pay for but still I mean it is just candy so I give it a bigg OUCH on the wallet...
