Read moreWent to this place late at night on a colleague’s recommendation and tried chicken kabob over rice. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the modest price, the quality of kabob was no less that that of many high end Mediterranean restaurants in NYC. The rice were mildly spiced and not drenched in oil (what you get at most low priced places) and kabobs came spiced with herbs, were flavorful and yet not too spicy or hot. Even my 2 years old enjoyed eating them. Went back again next day, got some more chicken with kabobs and also got beef samosas (beef patties), cake pudding and their chai. Every thing was great again. The tea was out of this world, typical Indian/Pakistani chai which is slow-brewed and comes premixed with milk and sugar. The people who run this place are very attentive, pleasant and try to connect with you at a personal level. I will definitely go there again whenever will travel to Portland Maine. The food is halal, freshly cooked min front of you and has authentic middle eastern flavor. I am not a big fan of fried items but one must try this place’s middle eastern menu...
