Jin Dak PDX — Restaurant in Portland

I've been here about 5 times now so I can give a solid review. The chicken here easily has a case for the best Korean fried chicken in Portland. The breading is very crunchy, the chicken itself is very tender, perfectly seasoned, and the sauces are incredibly well balanced. On top of this the sides that are offered are also amazing. Ginger salad is free (and the dressing is damn good!), but I would definitely give the kimchi fries a try. It's a great combination of sweet and spicy, and an interesting twist on traditional french fries. The owner is also incredibly friendly. There's no reason not to give this...

Now this is what I have been searching for! Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was served up within 10 minutes from what I can only assume was the happiest guy on the planet. The chicken was super crispy, with just the right amount of spice, but it's the rest of the ingredients that steal the show. The pickles, sauce, kimchi, lettuce, tomato...work so well with the chicken, it's just perfect. Do yourself a favor and head down to Sellwood for this perfect sandwich. Delicious Korean fried chicken, fries, sandwiches, & bi bim bap! The portions are filling, food is flavorful and has a great texture (fried chicken is always crispy & crunchy, bi bim bap had the crispy & gooey sunnyside up egg, soft rice, fresh greens, etc). My personal favorite is the chicken bi bim bap (tofu option is good too) and they can make it gluten free which is hard to find! The employees (I think owners) are so nice and helpful.
