Fun, casual healthy dining. The bowls are so good and healthy. The bowls have lots of veggies and all of the ones I’ve had have included broccoli. Bowls I’ve tried include the comfort bowl (Mexican influence), Korean (my favorite) and Thai. There are many more and I’ve tried most of them they are delicious and you get a generous portion. The Tempeh Royale burrito is my favorite. It includes kale, black beans, brown rice and flavored tempeh. You can choose your tortilla type. They’ve got a red sauce, green sauce and a habanero. My favorite salad here is the Kale Cesar salad. It does have very crunchy flavored garbanzo beans it’s topped with. The food is healthy and delicious. Nice staff, there’s mostly indoor seating and a couple of outdoor seats. This restaurant is in the Hollywood district and is centrally located. Line 75 on Trimet goes right past.
Update as of late Sept for the Hollywood location: quality has gone down since august and a couple of days ago marks the 2nd time I’ve found plastic in my kale salad. The first time it was a soft clear round piece and 2 days ago it was a hard longer black piece that I almost swallowed. I’ve stopped reporting t9 the restaurant because the lady whose I believe a District manager was dismissive when I called to report my concerns. I’ll try a different location but won’t go back t9 to the Hollywood store since quality and plastic in my food twice has been an issue.(Review stars have...
Read moreI just want a burrito with beans, cheese, and no pico de gallo.
Is that too much to ask?
Apparently, yes. It is.
The burrito isn't even for me. I love pico de gallo, but my young son and daughter won't eat it. So I have to be very careful to say: "No pico de gallo please," when I order food for them.
But it doesn't matter. Because tonight when I brought home their burritos, they both had pico de gallo. And the rice that was supposed to be in my daughter's burrito was absent. Yes, that seems like a small oversight, but my daughter is six. YOU try talking to her about it..
Now it's true that the restaurant was obviously busy when I made my order. But if they don't have enough staff to fill orders correctly, then Laughing Planet corporate should stop being so cheap and cough up the money to staff their business adequately.
I'm sure the staff must have thought I was a jerk when I called up to complain, but I don't have time to get a second dinner for my family, and this gets frustrating. Tonight I was told it will never happen again. But it has already happened again, because it's happened before. More than once.
Speaking of the staff, they are unfailingly pleasant and polite. I live in the neighborhood, and I like the food. This place would be perfect for me, if only my children liked pico de...

In the last 20 takeout orders I would say at least 50% have been 10-15 minutes delayed from the stated pickup time. This is with ordering at least 30, usually 45 minutes ahead.
In all these times NOT ONCE has the staff apologized. Nothing even resembling a "sorry". They act as if they literally don't care.
After the previous delay I contacted Laughing Planet corporate via email/facebook. I know they read the Facebook message but they never replied to either.
Today was the final straw. I placed an order at 5.55pm for 6.45pm pickup. I arrive at 6.45pm and am told, without the hint of an apology, that it will be 20 minutes more.
I like the food but I'm just sick of the delays and the horrible...
