We were very excited for our weekly date night! Started off with standing in front of the cart (with no line) for 5+ minutes with no gretting "hello" or "we will be right with you" we finally had to ask if we could place a order. The cook was cold and said "sure"
I'll start with we've been coming here for years... and was hesitant to leave a review but its been going down hill rapidly. I ordered my NORMAL order spold with chicken. Opened it up and was like hmmm thats different.. ate a bite it was NOT SPOLD. It was not cajun, creamy or anything close to that! Not upset accidents happen maybe the cook miss heard me so I walked up and asked if this was "spold" he said yes. I said hmm okay I order this often and it's a completely different color and flavor. The cook was RUDE... YELLING "that's how we make it" and walks to the back of the truck on his phone. OKAY well if that's how you make it we won't be back!
Just a PSA I'm not one to complain or write reviews. If I don't like food I was raised to eat it and not complain I've NEVER sent food back before EVER... so if I'm checking on if this is the right order.... somethings OFF!
I ended up not being unable to eat my meal as it was to spicy and a very odd flavor... On the other hand I went and ordered a wonderful delicious meal from Abu Omar (triple meat plate) which had great customer service!

Read moreI’m adding one star because I cannot post without adding any stars….buuuut, worst experience ever! After getting our we realized that the shrimp wasn’t fried or had any type of coating on it. My Po’ Boy was a disgusting combination of shrimp cocktail and a wanna be Po’ Boy. The jambalaya although advertised with sausage on it as shown by n their very own menu board came with no meat on it and tasted absolutely disgusting. When we went back to talk to them the level of aggression and disrespect was unbelievable. The cook went on to tell us that they won’t refund anything or exchange because we got what we ordered and he knows how to cook it properly, that maybe we aren’t sure of how Cajun food should taste because we’re in Portland. Which I ironically we are only here temporarily from the South about two hours from New Orleans. He also went on to say that the picture on the menu of the jambalaya wasn’t theirs it’s from another restaurant and that they don’t use sausage on theirs that it’s only veggie based 🤯 he ended the conversation by saying if you don’t like the food quality you shouldn’t have ordered the food!!!! Needless to say we will not be returning to...
Read moreDrove up to Portland from Salem for a show with my sister and we decided to get some dinner before hand. Ordered my usual spold mac with chicken and she the spold with shrimp. After 30+ minutes of waiting for our food I went to the front of the cart and politely asked if our food would be coming out soon because we needed to get going. About 2 minutes later my name was called so I grabbed our boxes and we had to bolt to put it in the car so we weren’t late. As we were walking we decided to take a couple of bites to enjoy it while it was fresh… I opened my box and there was literally ONE SMALL SCOOP of pasta that didn’t even cover the entire bottom of the to-go box and “maybe” 5 tiny little pieces of chicken, and my sisters box was the usual generous portion with several shrimp. I had already left the food cart area and had a show to go to or I would have gone back, but I definitely will NOT be returning after having to wait well over a half an hour and paying $15+ for practically NOTHING. Super disappointing since montage has been our go to place for years before and after outings in...
