--- food --- ----- appetizer ----- Albacore crudo ⭐ [Jun 7, 2025] wouldn't reorder fishy bad texture stuck together the mayo tasted cheap, sort of like those cheap Sriracha mayos, but it definitely wasn't on paper, it seemed very upscale on paper
------- salads ------- Brassica Caesar ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [Sept 29, 2024] it has all my favorite vegetables perfectly roasted so fresh and almost a little hearty because the vegetables are so substantial
Roasted white peach ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ [Sept 29, 2024] my partner rates this 5 stars but I can't help but love the broccoli salad more this one is slightly lighter than the broccoli the cheese, fiore sardo, has a tiny bit of a funky after taste but I appreciate it with the peaches super soft caramelized peaches
Poached pear ⭐⭐⭐ [Jan 10, 2025] little too bitter for me learned I won't order any salads that have "bitter greens" in the ingredients list thought it would be like a slight bitter like raddicio everything needs to be eaten together
Beets salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [Jan 10, 2025] perfection not too sweet fresh
Charred beets and berries ⭐⭐⭐ [Jun 19, 2025] pretty mid wouldn't reorder kind flipped between bland and too saccharine
Stone fruit salad ⭐⭐⭐ [Jun 7, 2025] little too sweet for me because of the brown butter and cherries with syrup wouldn't reorder
Green tomato Caesar ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ [Sept 14, 2025] surprisingly good, was slightly dissapointed on sight but my gosh it was delicious small portion served for a perfect bite every time really loved how thinly sliced the tomatoes were, that takes so much skill
Chicory salad [Sept 14, 2025] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ think this is my favorite salad here, I hope they keep it for a while it isn't too creamy or relying too hard on the dressing I adore the brabander cheese everything was perfectly paired
----- oven vegetables ----- Wood fired carrot and nduja ⭐⭐⭐⭐ [Jun 7, 2025] cheese was a little too rich for me, but so good to dip the crust in wish I didn't mix this, the cheese was definitely a dip situation not a dressing situation loved the texture of the carrots liked the pickled carrots
------ pasta ----- ❤️ Rigatoni Alla vodka ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [Jun 19, 2025] perfect texture slight spice creamy my favorite pasta in Portland
Sausage and peppers lasagna [Sept 14, 2025] ⭐⭐⭐ not for me, it's totally ok but not worth the money it's pretty small not as flavorful as the vodka
------ pizza ------ Peaches and pancetta ⭐⭐⭐✨ [Sept 29, 2024] I love all the bites with peaches but there weren't too many peaches the ricotta was slightly too much for me but it was so indulgent, like I can't eat too much, was still really good though it really needed more peppers for a spicy sweet taste! In generally I just needed more toppings.
❤️Rosso [Jan 10, 2025, Jun 7, 2025] surprisingly so good we reorder this constantly the sundried tomatoes are so good the texture shines
Quattro cipolle ⭐⭐⭐ [June 19, 2025] not my favorite little soggy, think high moisture ingredients...
Read moreHad an awesome visit last week for a Friday date night. The place does take reservations and I would encourage them as it does fill up quickly and is not that large of a space.
The atmosphere was quaint and lovely. It’s a bit of a U shaped dining room with the kitchen being in the center of the space. I liked the setup and the lighting and decor was nice. It was rather loud however, given the proximity of the tables, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for something a little more intimate. I assumed the vibe would be more upscale given the prices but it was a mix of dress from casual to date night.
Service was solid throughout the night. Servers were kind and attentive. I will say the pizzas being made fresh mean they do take some time so make sure to order that early if you plan on getting one. There’s also a takeout option which appeared popular.
Lastly, the food, which was quite delicious. We wound up going for the roast carrots, vodka penne, pistachio pizza, and tiramisu for dessert. The penne was tasty and rich without actually being that heavy. It had smooth tomato flavors and was light enough even with the buratta to have room for pizza. The pizza was outstanding and was both unique while still being familiar. It had a warm nutty taste and tasty cheese all around. Crust was also great. The true standout may have been the tiramisu which I would definitely encourage if you have the appetite. As a non coffee drinker it’s not usually a dish I order but it was absolutely fantastic. Super creamy and fresh, and so decadent we actually wound up taking some home.
Definitely a place I’d try again for specialty pizza...
Read moreIf homeslice was a pizza, No Saint would be it for me. I’ve been following Gabby (one of the sweetest humans ever) & Anthony (equally sweet & masterful chef) around since their pop up at Vivienne. Their Dame pop up was the first meal I had out during quarantine, in the cold, under a tent on 33rd & Killingsworth. When I heard they were opening a brick and mortar, I was stoked, but I didn’t realize how ready they were to pull the whole restaurant thing off…not sure why when, between the two of them, they’ve worked every aspect of this industry in pretty much all of Portland’s ‘best’ spots, Ava Genes, Coquine, Han Oak, Sweedeedee, Café Olli, Someday, etc. Their natural grace and skill appear effortless, but it comes from years and years of experience plus their sweet love can be tasted in each perfect batch of pizza dough and beautifully balanced salads - heavenly and divine are words that come to mind when thinking of ways to describe the pastas and desserts…whoever labeled this duo ‘No Saint’ must have been playin’. Thank you guys for being my favorite place to eat and for your delicious food that...
