Taco Machine — Restaurant in Portland

I’m a big fan of Taco Machine, not only for the great food but for the awesome owners who run the truck.

The food is genuinely good Mexican, which is hard to find in Portland. There are all the classic dishes you’d want, plus some creative items like the “vampiro” taco and the grilled cheese burrito (a burrito covered in cheese and then grilled crispy).

As a salsa aficionado, they’ve got great salsa and a lot of selections, some that are traditional and some not so much. I like the smoky and the chipotle mayo.

The staff is always so friendly and kind. The last time we were there, they gave us Mexican hot chocolate while we were waiting because it was cold outside.

If you haven’t been there in a while, the truck is new and they’ve added a nice covered eating area with heat lamps. They’re generally open 10 am to 7 pm, so plan accordingly. Highly...

Hands down the best 4 tacos I have ever eaten in my life. These tacos are $2.50-$3.00 and each taco brought life back into my very entity. I was released from the shadow realm; brought back to reality and allowed to be a free thinker again. Noah would have dropped Allie to have a plate of these tacos. He probably would have left a review too and been a local guide. If you do not tip at least one to two tacos worth. You are a broke SIMP, plain and simple! Great tacos, I like the pastor a lot. It's not the juiciest I've had but it's never too fatty or gristly and we'll seasoned. They've been making a lot of upgrades, improving their truck and seating area for customers which means their prices have had to go up (3.50 per taco, which seems almost standard now at many places). They do Taco Tuesday tho where you can still get them for 2.50! They've also expanded their menu a lot with things like tortas, quesadillas, and Sinaloan tacos (w/ melted cheese and pepper).
