People make impressions on food on just a few key simple things. Typically setting, taste, temperature, etc. While stopping by Pizzicato I had to pop in on my way to a work event. I asked how long it would take to get a personal pizza (no slices after 5pm) and it was a bit longer than their 8 minutes. But the people I talked to were nice. The pizza was nice and hot with melty cheese...but my boyfriend had been raving about this pizza chain ever since we moved to Portland. And I just felt underwhelmed and overcharged. My pizza was 15.50 for a personal (I get it fresh ingredients). And I tipped well too. It's just that when I'm going to spending about $18 on a personal pizza I want to it full of Pizazz. And it just wasn't. I hurried and ate one slice and it was just hot with the same flavors I've tasted before. Nothing different or special. And knowing I could almost buy 2 pizzas for 18in for a few more bucks at costco it feels a bit in the middle as far as a cheesy pie goes....
Read moreTook my son here this past weekend and had one of the most unpleasant dining experiences ever. We ordered the breadsticks which were decent and the marinara was acceptable. There was a sad bit of lettuce on the plate as garnish that looked like it had been picked up off the floor and tossed on. Gross. Waitress was one of the worst ever. Rude, condescending and absolutely horrible. Basically tossed each of our items on the table with no interest in providing a pleasant experience. Her gratuity reflected my distaste. Yes, I did leave a tip, but only minimal, and I am historically a generous tipper having worked in food service in the past. Lady, if you hate your job, then quit. Don't force your patrons to suffer your angst.
No, I will not ever be returning and would never recommend this place. The pizza was just ok, nothing spectacular. Bellagio's is much better so I will stick with them from now on. Horrific waste of $40. You folks...
Read moreThe pizza is outstanding. The service is outstanding. My only complaint is the mask policy. If customers are required to wear a mask, so should the workers. A face shield blocks spit and large expelled items from the mouth as well as protects the wearer from getting spit or other foreign matter in their eyes, A face shield does nothing to protect the public or the wearer from exhaling or breathing in airborne particles. If the worker who wears this shield thinks he is protected or is protecting others from airborne particles then he needs a primer in airborne transmission of viruses, or perhaps he does not care. In future, if I see him working and wearing a face shield instead of a mask I will take my business elsewhere. I would encourage others to do the same. We need to consistently follow protocols to defeat the spread of this virus. 3 stars for safety and...
