Coco & Toulouse Go Shopping — Local services in Portland

Had wanted to visit this store for ages and finally was able to slip out of work early enough to get there for the last 20-30 minutes of their business day. After a hunt for parking, I had 20 minutes to enjoy my shopping experience and look for a specific brand the store was noted as carrying. Before entering, I checked store hours on the door. As I walked in, I was abruptly told that the store was closing early (no sign on the door said that). Three other women were in there shopping. I asked if I could just see the one thing I really wanted. The sales clerk then said she only had two pieces left because they "just took too long to sell," and then went back to the other ladies. What remained was of no interest to me, so I left. The clerk finally remembered her customer service skills and called out, "Come back and see us!" No, I will not be back. Rude, unprofessional. My favorite place to shop! Everyone That works at coco makes you feel special, they are so helpful! The personal shoppers that I have worked with have a great knowledge of the inventory which makes it fun and very personalized! Sasha is so awesome! She let me come in even though they were about to close. She also really helped me in choosing a gift for a friend. She was friendly, courteous, kind, and wrapped the gift perfectly (which they do for free!). It unfortunately seems rarer and rarer that folx are friendly in customer service anymore...which boggles my mind. How totally refreshing my experience was with Coco & Toulouse / Sasha. ...
