By and large, this park is somewhat underutilized - at least the day we were there. Yes, the weather was hot in the afternoon, which may have curtailed some families use of the park. A big concern for some people - especially those with toddlers - is the copious amounts of goose guano on the grassy areas. In some areas it can best be described as prodigious. This precludes walking barefoot on the grass. By the same measure, at least one wading pool should be considered little more than decorative. Unless there is updated signage advertising potential users that the resident water fowl have not fouled the pool water so as to make the water a bio-hazard for waders and model boat enthusiasts. The sports fields and pucnic areas are reasonably well maintained. One suggestion to the Park Bureau would be to place recycling bins beside the trash receptacles in the park. This would be beneficial to picnic groups who want to be as environmentally responsible as possible, while saving them the back-haul of those recyclable items back home at the end of the day, and reduce the amount of trash at...

Would totally be a 5 star rating for a beautiful park with a lot of things to do there. However, why I did not give it a full 5 star rating is due to a bunch of people treating the parking lot as if it was a campground/garbage dump/outdoor storage faculty all in one. Due to this becoming a more well known park they let people continue to do this the rating is coming close to a 3 star, sadly. Even though the park is beautiful great for walking, enjoying a nice day, playing basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer, taking the little ones to a really cool playground with running water they can make there own streams in a sandbox type area, trees to climb, picnics, and a lot more. Its definitely worth checking out! Thankfully it is a big park so the camping/trash ground/eye sore isn't that bad of an issue yet that you don't have plenty of room to go to get it out of eye range. Hopefully, soon they will fix this issue, and when they do my rating will quickly go to 5 stars. Hope this was helpful for y'all, and if you do check it out you enjoy yourself...

As I said before this park is like history nostalgic for me and I just will never stop going there.Fun things I was a kid I was in the trees and the pond The park was the biggest one i seen now its seems small. just another thing to draw me. A great part is that the homeless have been cleaning it up better that's it's been. Everyone counts in this world it takes one of everybody to make it so we have to help the homeless and we can until the end . and it's a lot easier in the long run there not going anywhere. They live in the parking Lot .which most of time Pbot fills it with debris from all over . So the park is beautiful Bring em all . Walking, playground for The small ones. Basket ball, baseball Frisbee ,BBQ,historic Trees is the best for me, Oak trees, redwoods Fir,cedar, to much to list Bike it its a long walk Around it. So don't worry when you park in lot.and you get Leary of your surrounding. Your going to the...

Although this a great nature park for kids, please be warned that the pictures online are better than the park itself. It seems from reviews that a lot of amenities are only available in summer. That might be the reason why I felt a little cheated because we went in February. But it was still a very fun park. Natural climbing structures and slides (may not be too suitable for toddlers though). A big sand pit. A shady area near the playground with gigantic trees. a nice little pond with ducks wading around. I could see restrooms nearby too. There is plenty of street parking in the residential area next to the park.

If you love ducks, geese and other water-dwelling critters, I could not more enthusiastically suggest a better place. There's a trail of bridges through a marsh area that provides a ton of photograph-worthy entertainment. There's also plenty of grass for your dogs, kids, or a picnic. There's a clubhouse and several courts for playing tennis or baseball. The reservoir is pretty peaceful to sit and directly next to it is a play area that's all natural and very cool. A ton of geese flew over while I was there and landed in the ballpark. This place is awesome
