UPDATE: I debated making a complaint post about my experience Tuesday night 9/12/23 at Popeyes but I truly feel the General Manager Ashley with red hair, made a huge spectacle out of me in front of a lobby full of people because she was on a power trip of some kind. After waiting in drive thru for over 20 minutes behind one single car at the speaker, the woman on speaker was blatantly rude, making me repeat my order over and over to be obnoxious when she could clearly hear what I was saying as I speak very loud and clear, so yes, I did raise my voice to her the fourth time she asked me to repeat myself because it’s frustrating when I know you’re asking me to repeat over and over on purpose. She screamed at me on the drive thru speaker “WHAT SIDE” and I sat there literally dumbfounded as to how this woman could be yelling at me? So I replied to her “are you really going to start being rude to me after I’ve been waiting in your drive thru for over 20 minutes to give my order?” She then very obnoxiously said “AND YOU CAN SEE WE ARE BUSY IF YOU DONT WANT TO WAIT GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE MY HEADSEAT IS OFF NO ONE IS TAKING YOUR ORDER YOURE TALKING TO YOURSELF…” So I drove to the window, and can now clearly hear and see the woman making fun of me with her other male coworkers and said to one “no one has time for that go be (stupid?) somewhere else”.. that part was not clear. So as to not block the drive thru I parked and came inside, I can now see the lobby did have many people so I guess they were just neglecting drive thru and focusing on lobby. So no problem I waited in line to order inside, wallet in hand, calm as I was not going to make a fool out of myself in front of people. A male worker said “is this the chicken sandwich order at the window” the woman said “yes because the other car drove off” I said “ no the other car is right here waiting to order” She said “well you can just stand there all night for all I care because I’m not taking your order, you picked the right one tonight, you came to the right Popeyes….” Insinuating as if she wants to fight me! I said “maam YOU started by being rude to me, I understand you are busy, I work fast food too but that is no excuse to start screaming at customers…” I am just literally flabbergasted at this point and just want to order. I have my wallet in my hand and she tells the counter worker to deny my order for “screaming” at her at the drive thru speaker when I never screamed at her to begin with, yes I raised my voice but it was DEFINITELY not a scream. I said “well if you aren’t going to take my order and refusing my service then I want to speak to the manager” She arrogantly said “I am the GENERAL manager” And I said “and what is your name?” She rudely says “my name is none of your business” I said “woooowww I want the corporate number” She then yells at me to “google it” and YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO GET OUT OF MY STORE BEFORE I CALL THE COPS ON YOU. I said “really you’re going to call the police on me because YOU were rude to ME?” and she started counting down…. NINETEEN, EIGHTEEN, SEVENTEEN…. All of this happening in a lobby with over 10 people in it. So I left after waiting for from 8:15-8:50 pm empty handed because the GM woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something.
Unbelievable. I wish this was a joke. I did not go inside your lobby and make a scene yelling like you did. I went inside a paying customer and left humiliated, being threatened with police by you which was just ridiculous and uncalled for. You are the most unprofessional, obnoxious, “manager” I have ever met. Patience was never my problem, it was your disgustingly bad attitude and ZERO customer...
Read moreWe ordered on the app about 20m before we arrived. App said it would be ready at 36 after the hour. We arrived at 33 after the hour. The guy in line took a while and so didn't speak to the cashier until 40 after the hour. We got the food and out the door with our takeout order about 12 after the hour. We had to verify the order. My pickle glaze sandwich was missing glaze and the bacon as it comes with. Turns out this location no longer runs the promo for it yet ordered it in-app. Got the bacon and they asked and I subbed bbq. I did want to wait even longer for a ghost pepper sandwich which I'd have swapped to if I had the time. We ordered and paid extra for various sauces that were missing. We got all but one after asking. The fries were missing. Asked for and got them. The 14 piece classic tenders were the tiniest things. We probably got extra but didn't count. The 5 piece blackened chicken tenders were tiny as well, though we got 6. The chicken in the sandwich was this but bigger than the bun. Other Popeyes in other states IMO/XP are normally thick and larger than bun and $4 rather than $5 plus 11.39 for bacon. The tea was hot but already diluted. We expected from other Popeyes to be concentrated and need ice for dilution. So this was weak sweet tea. The food tasted good, service did eventually get us 99% of our order. Food was ok but expecting to walk out the door shortly after 36 past the hour per the app was pissing us off. It was almost no different than placing the order upon arrival and waiting. In fact so many came and did so while we waited, I just cannot recommend this location. I also got the excuse from the manager that she was at HEB getting lettuce. This location is bad from the manager's manager and perhaps the franchise owner on down. The mantra was they always make fresh. Well they had at least 15m (1118am) before the order was to be ready as we specified 1135am. The app said would be ready at 1136am. Stay away. We used to live here and enjoyed it in the past. We were visiting family and this place was just lousy from the moment we spoke to the cashier and then they started to get out the food to make it for us. Read moreFirst let me say this is the worst place to get food as a walk in. only go through the drive thru. When it was built Portland was small, Now it has grown. I have eaten there 3 times in the last 2 weeks as a walk in and They were fully staffed. But they we’re more worried about the drive thru than any body eating in took 15 minutes to get employee to take my order. Yesterday They we’re having a manager meeting and saw us waiting in line and never offer to help us get our oder. So the man in front of me just left after waiting for any body to take his order. And before you ask no it wasn’t busy. The area manager was there in the meeting and ask the man why he was leaving and he said really you just watched me wait to put my order in and never ask if i needed help. Because the drive thru is so small and blocks the. entrance the tend to only worry about it only. If this is the truth then please take out the dining room and make it drive thru only . It’s called fast food for a reason. I always give the businesses a break when i make a post but not this place not anymore.
