Update: They're back! The chap I'm used to talking to and seeing was there and my favorite dish was back to it's normal extrordinariness!! Everything was perfection including the broccoli I had missed so much. I know, weird, but you count on some things after a long Friday at work. 20 years ago it was a pint or six, now it's my favorite comfort food. Just wait. You'll get it someday 😉

I agree with the consensus that they make the best teriyaki chicken in town and the portions/value are truly amazing in today's world. The downside is that they changed my favorite dish. I always (for years) order chicken and vegies with extra vegies which used to mean lots of broccoli, and a few carrots. Now it's a pile of cabbage, some grated carrots, no broccoli. I like cabbage, probably more than the average person, but not half a head in a teriyaki dish! It changes the texture of the whole thing. Last time I thought maybe the regular guys were on vacation, but it's the same tonight. My attempt at DIY teriyaki broccoli can't compete. WHY? I need a bring back the broccoli...

I ordered from here because of the high reviews. I usually only give reviews if I have positive things to say. But I was misled by the 4.6 or 4.7 star review. I have to say the food was barely above edible. I did not eat. I hate wasting food but I would feel bad to giving it away. The vegetables were soggy and barely had flavor. Which is hard to do when they are stir fried. Nature helps with that usually. The gyoza was really bad and IF THEY PROVIDED US WITH DIPPING SAUCE I still wouldn’t have eaten them. The noodles were obviously old because they were dry and crusty. The teriyaki chicken was promising if it were fresh. But Ill never know if they can do better because I will not be going back. It may be because I ordered an hour before they closed for the evening, but there is no excuse to serve food like this. Those of you who give high points are missing out on really good teriyaki at...

I eat at this place a lot right after the gym. My complaint isn't about the food, its about the woman who I believe is the owners wife. She is very rude and i suspect she is racist (I'm African American). Thankfully she's not there everyday or i wouldn't eat there at all. She doesn't smile, she rushes me when I order, she just rubs me the wrong way. Just today before I even reached the front counter to order she asks "can I help you?" I hadn't even reached the order/pay area..

I could be wrong but when I see her help other non black customers she greets them completely differently.. I'm hoping the owner sees this and has a talk with his wife or whoever she is, about her customer service and just all around attitude. There's 1 other lady who I see there often, she's very nice.

This is my very first review ever, I'm not a complainer at all, so don't get...

every time i come here, they severely undercharge me for the quality and amount of food they serve me!! $17.50 for a jumbo tofu veggie teppanyaki and 4 spring rolls (see photo). i’m always craving the jumbo tofu teppanyaki and veggie rolls, and the prices are so good for the amount of food you get. the veggie roll sauce is a little strange, but not bad at all! and the rolls are so crispy and perfect, they don’t even need sauce. i also work at Providence Portland so this place is right down the street, very convenient. i love this place so much!!!!

You would think you would walk in here and it’s ran by Asians, but it’s actually all Spanish/Hispanic people 😂 but joking aside, if you just want some legit Teriyaki chicken at a good price like I did, this is your place. Probably one of the better Teriyaki chicken places in Portland ! Most importantly the chicken was not dry, very moist and juicy ! Pictured is only $10 and easily 2-3 meals. Will be back ! Delicious !

I love this spot. The food is good and very reasonably priced. The service is on point. The location is convenient and very accessible. The place is a little small for the crowds they get sometimes and it can get very busy so a lot of people call in there orders for pickup so it can be difficult to determine wait time sometimes but overall it's a good lunch spot on.
