Starbucks — Restaurant in Portland

I frequent this location & the people have always been extremely warm & friendly except for this occasion. The person at the counter (Jennifer) was snarky, extremely rude & “fake nice” at the same time. I always bring my cup back in to refill it to use less waste. She rang it in as 50€ & I was pleasantly surprised so I gave her a tip. . After she handed me my coffee, she proceeds to inform me that it’s not customary to leave the premises & come back & receive that low of a price so I should expect to pay the normal price next time. She acted like I had expected it. I have never seen Jennifer before so I introduced myself. This made her uncomfortable. I told her I want comfortable with our interaction & that I would prefer to pay the normal price. She gladly accepted my money & proceeded to be “fake nice” with me. Maybe she was having a bad day. I have been very impressed with the level of service at this Glisan location. I have always been met with a smile even in the midst of the 7-8am weekday chaos. The mochas are always hot and taste great. The store is clean, and management seems to run a smooth operation. The staff manage to get drinks out in a timely manner when there is a substantial line and a long list of mobile orders for the hospital workers next door. 5/5 for sure!

Also important to note - One day, there were two older individuals at the register ordering. It was very clear that they were new to the Starbucks app, points, and had many questions about the menu. The cashier was absolutely amazing with them! So sweet and so patient with the customers even with a line forming. Another worker noticed a bit of a line forming, and they hopped right onto the next register to assist. ...

If you are a pet owner and your pet happens to be you companion or service dog don't even think about coming to this Starbucks unless you want to get irritated. I was asked to leave my dog outside I said no hes my companion dog. Then With an attitude the young kid behind the counter takes my order. Then the top that off I see one customer who came in after me get their drink and so I go up to the counter and of my surprise my drink has been sitting there and the whipped cream on top was already melting into this into the drink. I asked and paid for an extra shot, but this was just the normal weak coffee. I normally always tip at Starbucks. I have a Starbucks card with quite a bit of money on it at all times.
