The Brass Rail — Restaurant in Portland

Though I've scoured the pages of Webster's, I'm left without the proper words to describe my experience of THE Brass Rail. I came here on a cool September evening with KP and the lads, stumbling into what we thought was an unassuming local joint, though it turned out to be much more. The Brass Rail is THE spot in Portland to cut up a rug whilst consuming barley pops. Up in the treehouse, nothing could stop as as we circumnavigated to the groove. I'm big into dive bars and places really only locals go and this place has to be one of the top dive bars in Portland. Many of my friends call this the "sketchy bar" because in all honesty i wouldn't have gone in if I didn't have a friend who brought me here. There are no windows and it appears to be like an old barn. They have karaoke, good beer prices and it's never been packed since I've gone here. A friendly place with tons of character. The building is unique, has a lot of history and features artwork celebrating many of the customers who have been there over the years. I just started going there recently and always feel welcome and treated like family. The drinks are super affordable, the ice cream shots are worth making a trip for!
