The Old Barn on Barbur Blvd. is that red brick building I’ve driven past for twenty years. We decided to stop by on Friday to grab some quick bar food. To my surprise, they have a great menu when it comes to house specialities. I had hoped to have razor clams or prime rib but opted for soup and salad instead.

I wish I would have tried the special fried chicken lunch but I didn’t know how amazing it sounded until we were almost leaving and I heard our server describe it to someone else. I will be back to try it : )

The clam chowder was really really good.10/10 *the salad was alright but paled in comparison after the soup.

Our server, the bartender was lovely. She seemed cheerful and had a very welcoming personality. Pretty perfect service all in all. Our food was served promptly and was temperature appropriate.

It seems like a fun place to go back to on a weekend we’re we can stay for a while.

There’s lots of seating inside but I can see where parking might get full on a busy night. Since it sits right ON Barbur Blvd street parking might not be an option. There’s one handicapped access spot right up front and center which is nice for anyone with that need.

I was impressed with the menu and food, service & friendliness, cleanliness. All around a good vibe. We will be back to really explore...

It's 50/50 IMO with this place. It's extremely thick with regulars. Some of them can be super friendly and talkative, others treat you like you're using a freebie 30 day guest pass at an exclusive gym or country club. They have 2 evening bartenders that split the week. Obviously they have different personalities so the atmosphere feels different in the beginning of the week compared to the end of the week. The food is good. Prices are average. If you ask the bartender nicely he'll probably make you some chicken strips and fries at 2am. It's clean and well taken care of. They have a nice smoking area hanging off the back of the building. You can park next door if the lot is full, or if you don't feel like walking up from the back to the entrance. I wouldn't say I'm a regular, but it's open until 2:30 so it's not a huge surprise that I find myself heading there at least 3...

I love this bar! An awesome local favorite. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this place. The staff are all super sweet and engaging. The food is pretty great, especially for the price, and you can't beat their happy hour specials. They have awesome daily food specials, especially if you're into seafood. I know, a joint called The Old Barn is probably not your first choice for seafood, but try to get a table on a night they're having a seafood special and you'll quickly realize that this place is one of the best kept local secrets for awesome dinner specials. The Barn has a great covered patio for smoke breaks, trivia nights, tons of flat screen t.v.s for sports games, and even the occasional live band. All and all just a great place, whether you need a quick bite to eat or are looking for a fun place to hang out...

This is a 5 in my book. The drinks were great and price was reasonable. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and always there. If you go, make sure to get there before 9 when the main kitchen closes. We still ordered Mozarella sticks though with the bar menu. Karaoke with Jacquie was awesome and crowd was super friendly. When in town I will go there again.

A neat bar located off Highway 99. It has an comfy old school neighborhood bar feel to it. I had their reuben sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich was ok. Our bartender/waitress was pretty nice and helpful, which made the experience better. I do want to try some of their other specials next time.
