Cook Out — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Besides the fact that I hate going through the drive-through besides the fact that the people at the window are the rudest people I’ve ever met. They will steal your debit card also. They played me like an idiot and it’s my fault but I paid for my food he never gave me my card back. I didn’t realize it until this morning, so I went back as soon as they open and asked a guy that I thought was the manager if anyone had turned in a debit card that they forgot to give back to customer and he said no. He walked around the corner turned around and came back and said no we don’t have any that got turned in. So I was assuming that I dropped it in my wife’s car because I went to the drive-through and I never got out of my car except for to get in my car at home and get out my car at home. My wife just calls and says hey, did you just use your debit card at Wawa next to cookout for $130 worth of gas because your card just got swiped for gas 3 times until it declined. My wife had it set up to notify us if it gets swiped and declines. I know it was the guy who took my order and I have a detective friend that will be getting the video footage from both places. The recite on my box said Christian was my server but I’m pretty sure the guy who took my order was not named Christian. But we will find out soon because he used it at the store that literally shares the same...

Snarky and passive aggressive at the side window. Guy asks me to pull up to yield sign and wait till he let's me know to pull up. Get there and there is no car. If you're familiar with cookout you know you can't actually see the side window from the yield sign, only the back of the car in front of you. There was no car, I pulled up to see tye window, but it put me in traffic. Wasn't going to site in the middle of the drive aisle so I pulled up to the window. When I get there the guy goes "is there no yield sign out there?" in a very passive aggressive manner. Talking to him he was apparently going to come to the main window and wave me in cause "no one is at the window and he was getting the food ready". This is 2pm on a Thursday with multiple people lining up in both lanes. What's the difference between pulling to the EMPTY window and waiting for the food. How was I supposed to see the side window from the yield sign? You look for the back of the car in front of you waiting at the window and pull up when they leave. If no one is there then you pull to the window yourself.

Not sure what the deal even is here??? Couldnt care less how the food is if the staff is RUDE or passive aggressive.

Only thing I can guess is maybe they were trying to cheat a window timer that some drive...

This location is not usually this bad however this visit was extremely disappointing. I know it’s 2024 and customer service is trash I don’t expect good customer service so that wasn’t the let down! I was looking forward to cookout, I was very hungry, and the entire order was the let down! I went through the drive thru and placed my order. I guess the mic is bad I don’t know but when I received the order the BLT sandwich had very little B (bacon) and had no L (lettuce) at all. So I parked the car went in and asked for a remake. The instant attitude “it only comes with 3 pieces of bacon and we don’t control the size” from the manager told me all I needed to know. I didn’t say or ask for anything else but thank you and then left. I got back in the car and drove off. The quesadilla I received was wrong as well. It was supposed to be cheeseburger and not chicken. Then, the walking taco came with no plasticware so I couldn’t eat it (I was on a break and had to go back to work). Lastly, the sweet tea wasn’t sweet like it usually is! This visit was very disappointing. I’ll definitely think twice before coming back to...
