Yesterday evening was my 3rd time visiting. 1st experience was cool, 2nd experience was ok bc I LoVE white sauce with my Mexican cuisine and the owner lied and told me that they were out, so I told him I have to have white sauce then he switched up and said he had 1 to go cup left, then a lady came out and I told her how I was reluctant to order food bc of the white sauce situation and guess what? Within a minute she brought me 3 to go cups of white sauce. My experience last night was horrible bc the owner really showed how much of a penny pincher he is. As a business owner, I do understand the concept of business and managing costs in order to make a profit but I also understand the concept of customer service. For me, being stingy with something like sauce is ridiculous unless the customer is asking for a boatload of it. This review will be way too long if I list every single bad experience from last night so I'll share 2: 1) I asked for a small to go cup of red salsa for my fajitas and he tried to charge me $.99 for when we had ordered $50 worth of food and drinks already, 2) my husband paid with his card as we were leaving and of course he didn't leave a tip after the experience we had and tbe owner actually asked him "so the tip is 0?" Yes! It's $0! And we won't be spending anymore of our money here nor will we ne recommending that anyone...
Read moreIf I were just rating the food, we'd be looking at 4-5 stars. Unfortunately greedy practices hinted at by other reviewers need to be taken seriously. We arrived at around 1 pm and were given a menu which contained a lunch menu (which they take orders from until 2:00). I made my selection, Enchiladas Popeye, pointing to it on the lunch menu. I did the same with my wife's selection, Nachos Supreme, again pointing to it on the lunch menu. When the waiter brought the check, I saw that we had been charged dinner prices rather than lunch prices. When I asked our server, he said it was because we ordered by the dish's name rather than ordering Lunch 10 and Lunch 20. No effort was made by our server to make us aware of their policy. His greedy employer (who unapologetically gave the same BS explanation) got his money all right. A good chunk of it WOULD have been our server's tip. As it is, he got 38¢. Bottom line... The food is good. Just be very careful about what you're ordering. As for us, we won't be back. Any proprietor that invested in the short game over the long game won't be getting...
Read moreI want to state that I have ate at this location multiple times w/ no issues. Food is always delicious, however, today I was a little baffled with my experience.
Me and my mother ordered, ate, & got the bill. As I was getting a to-go drink, I gave my waiter a cash tip (very nice waiter). We went up to the front to pay. The lady worker told me that my total was $23.84, gave her my card, she swiped it and gave me the receipt to sign. I see that my card was charged $28.13 after she had just told me that my total was $23.84. I’m sorry but ???? There is nothing stating anywhere in the restaurant that there is an automatic percentage for tip added onto your bill, let alone a table for two. When we said something to her about it, she acted confused and said that “it is automatic.” I explained to her that I had already gave my waiter his tip in cash. It would be nice if they verbally tell you before charging your card or having a notice somewhere stating automatic tip is applied. Unfortunately due to how the situation played out, I won’t...
