OK, if you're familiar with the Beach Plum location on Lafayette, just go to the Beach Plum for dessert and skip the food, you will not be sorry!! Gigi's Pizza is in the shopping center behind and to the left of the Beach Plum. We ordered ahead and were told it would take 35 mins for our order...OK, it was lunch time on a Saturday. We went with the hope it may be a shorter wait and IT WAS! We met the owner who was very pleasant and thanked us for coming. We tried a cheese pizza with extra cheese, chicken kabob wrap, and chicken shawarma lunch plate. The sauce on the pizza was great, and the pizza was cooked very well, too! The chicken kabob wrap, although a bit messy, was well worth the dirty fingers! Finally, the chicken shawarma plate was full of flavor! They don't skimp on the portions and everything tasted great! Just tried GiGi’s for the first time, and we’ll definitely become regulars. Heard about a new pizza place opening where the Irish brewery was behind Beach Plum, and had been wanting to try it.

Zena was incredibly pleasant on the phone when we called in our order, and a delight to meet in person. Warm, friendly and engaging, I felt welcomed as soon as I met her. We chose the white pizza for our first try with GiGi’s, and it was a great choice. Love the thin crust and blend of garlic and cheeses, including ricotta, and cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious! Now we’re excited to try the rest of the menu, from salads to sandwiches and other flavors of pizza.

The food was inedible. This is going to sound made up but it is real and just happened 30 minutes ago.

1. We got tuna subs which were so salty we could eat less than 1/4 of each of them. It was obvious no one who made them actually had tasted the tuna that day.

2. They replaced one of the subs because it was inedible, with a turkey sub and the turkey tasted like band-aids. I had to wash my mouth out after spitting out my first bite.

3. We had a chocolate/peanut butter cookie and it was so bad we only ate 1/2 of it. Between my two sons and me, we have never in our lives found a cookie we didn't devour in 2 minutes...until today.

Honestly, I don't understand how they are still...
