Jitto's Super Steak — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Jittos is a family friendly pizza joint with a small, but fun and friendly, bar in the back.

The main reason to go here is for the good. Jittos has the best steak and cheese on the Seacoast, and their pizza is good too. Order a steak and cheese with pepperoni, fried egg, mushrooms and onions... Or whatever you like. They'll make it to suit your imagination.

For pizza, you can select from a wide range of toppings. But if you're going for pizza, you should really try the calzone. It's probably the best thing on the menu. Add garlic. You won't regret it.

The atmosphere here is very low key. Everyone in the bar is there to have a good time. Since the bar is so small, you can't help but talk to your neighbor, and a lot of interesting conversations happen there.

They have a small area with 2 dart boards just off the bar, and they host a regular league night.

Jittos is a local hangout, and somewhat of a well kept secret. The people you meet there probably live down the street. And they're probably regulars. There's a reason for their showing up over and over again. It's just fun.

You wouldn't really stop in here for a night out on the town. For that, you'd head down the street into the heart of the city. But you should stop by if you want good food and the chance to meet some cool people. If you're a local, you'll find yourself...

We order 2 times a week an all ways been good subs I orderd a large Buffalo finger last week get home an open it up I got windings plain an looked at slip.it said barbecue chicken fingers an I said it 3 times Buffalo boneless chicken fingers an then cook got it an gave me 8 windings plain so not only got it wronge but wronge 2 times cook didn't even look an thenlast nite wife got me a large boneless Buffalo wing side now deep fried chicken then in bowl tossed with Buffalo sauce like every restaurant does messy is part of fun eating them but I get red colored chicken fingers no Buffalo sauce any were an took 25 mins to do them zn any one knows so t pose to be deep fried but nope cooked in oven edges of every peice Hardanger dry as hell looked like put in sauce then in oven because u cal look at them an tell these were not deep fried never ordering again my wife called an complained as n who ever she was told my wife that's who there cooked but 3 days ago I got a side of Buffalo wings an they were deep fried an messy so much Buffalo sauce just like suppose to be an have pic but can't load it to it an can tell not deep fried an after cooked it was never tossed in buff a lo sauce need new cook with deep fried egg ier experience I did 7 years...

I have been going to Jittos regularly for a couple years now, and I'm sorry but I don't know how is it that the older woman with the glasses is still employed there, nor that there aren't more negative reviews specifically about her - maybe people decide to not go to Jittos anymore or decide that it's not worth their time to write it here but, specifically, this older woman should not be in customer service - she should not be the person that talks to customers - period! She gets instantly annoyed and definitely doesn't hide it to either customers or employees. She talks to you with an annoyed tone over the phone while taking your order, she doesn't handle situations in a professional way, I even saw her mistreat an employee right in front of me while the employee was completing my transaction. She scuffs in disbelief and is heavily annoyed at everything. Jittos customers should not have to interact with her as she is the worst person to represent the company. I stick to this place for lunch out of location convenience but if this doesn't change soon, I'd rather drive 5 minutes in the opposite direction for better quality service. It's just rude, unprofessional...
