Lin's Garden — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Let's start out by saying this was the only Chinese food I would order in my area. Yes, the food is good, but after my last order, I'm done!! I had food delivered and after opening the stapled brown paper bag, I was greeted by a dead roach, chillin' on top of my egg drop soup. I called the store asking for a refund, but they clearly stated they couldn't refund, only credit my account for my next purchase, like I'm gonna order from here again?! The owner said "they recently had the place sprayed, so that's why it was dead". Didn't ease my mind at all hearing that... Roach is a roach. Bad customer service and the dead roach did it for me. Just enjoyed our first take out meal from Lin’s Garden and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and flavorful. We have frequented another local restaurant for years and after their move, we’ve not been pleased. To make a fair comparison, we ordered the same items we always order. The teriyaki chicken was tasty and tender, house fried rice was full of vegetables, chicken and shrimp and flavorful. The chicken and broccoli was full of tender strips of chicken breast and many broccoli florets. The broccoli still had a little crunch, not overcooked. So yesterday I came to this location and I should have noticed the sign when I saw a dead roach at the door inside...I ordered a shrimp lo mein with white rice...Once I got in the house I began to eat my food and actually enjoying it UNTIL I saw a dead fly in my food...I don’t care if y’all delete this damn comment because if you do I’m going to keep posting to let people know how nasty this restaurant is.
