Rita's Pizza — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Lindsey was very unprofessional. I ordered food on January 19, 2022, and was met with some very unprofessional customer service from a coworker by the name of Lindsey. Initially, I called to place my order over the phone and had asked in the process if it were possible to pay over the phone or if i had to come in to pay. I was met with the response that i have to come in regardless to get the pizza, along with her giggling in the process as if i asked a dumb question. I was well aware that i still had to come in to get the pizza, i was just asking a simple question about the payment method. I had asked the question because my mother was actually coming in to get my order. My mom spoke with a person there who informed her that they rather not do payments over the phone. I am completely fine with that policy however i feel i should’ve been told in a more professional way, instead of being met with sarcasm. Being a person who works in customer service, i firmly believe it’s an appropriate way...

Will say their pizza is very good but I have one problem with them that has really perturbed me. They keep slicing (cutting) my pizza into tiny, hard to handle, squares! YUCK!!! I hate sticking my fingers into the cheese, pizza sauce and meats with each square slice! This afternoon noon after asking them nicely to cut my pizza the traditional way (I'm 65 and all my life I've eaten pizza by the wedge) I once again got a square cut pizza but have decided to go elsewhere for pizza from now on. It really makes no sense to me because wedges have that small amount of crust to hold so you don't have to stick your fingers in the hot sauce and cheese to just eat it! Just a trivial problem but I did ask nicely to cut it the way pizza has been...

I recently had a bad experience ordering from Rita's Pizza with my wife. My wife gave her order and asked for potato skins without bacon. As I was awaiting the order, I was told that they added bacon and it will be another 15 to 20 minute wait from the young lady. She really didn't seem too apologetic by the mistake. Once I picked up the order the her pizza order was incorrect and it had red sauce and she had asked for garlic or ranch. The same unapologetic girl told her they only do red sauce even though the young man took her order. I just feel like it is an issue of attention to detail and attitudes towards the customers. The food taste great but if you have to deal with a bad attitude if might be best just to order online...
