Last night I ordered a burrito and three pupusas over the phone. I was at home with my child so I had my husband pick up the order on the way home. When he came home i opened the order and realized they gave him the wrong order. They gave him 8 taxos. We called around 805pm before they closed at 830pm to inform them about the mistake they made. My husband said he even verified with the lady in the front if it was his order and she responded “yes”. When we called the same lady said that they were closing and couldn’t make our order that we paid for. So my husband said okay what is it that you can do if we paid for what we wanted and your kitchen is closing? She said she didn’t know. He then asked her what her name was and she responded with call tmw and I’ll remember your order. He said okay. So as anyone would do that ordered food cause they were hungry is eat the tacos. Which the tacos were dry and chicharon was not the best at all.I didn’t even finish but one and half of them and was left very unsatisfied. My husband called the restaurant again just now and asks the same lady who assisted him last night. He started off by reminding her of the situation and she responded that she not able to do what she said she was going to do and expected us to bring the tacos back from last night. This is the worst service I have ever received at a Hispanic restaurant. I feel cheated out of my money and am highly disappointed that a food service could treat paying customers like this. I wasn’t even told I would get a refund back on the difference in money. I feel cheated and will definitely not be going back to this restaurant. I would rather drive a bit further to go to Hacienda in Chesapeake for way better experience and food. Don’t waste your time...
Read moreMy family & I visited here often. Tonight we decided to go out with our son. We order yuca with chicharron, carne asada tacos, mojarra frita, and a side of rice and beans for my son. We specifically asked for the Yuca to come out first along with out sons rice and beans. It did not. Okay no biggie. Finally all the food came out. The rice was hard and my son was not able to eat it nor was my husband. The beans were completely way too thick and dry. The chicharron was ROCK SOLID. not edible AT ALL. The steak was frozen and old making it very hard and difficult to eat. & the fish was nearly black, and way too old. We addressed the waitress to ask if this was fresh and she said yes we said it's never been like this before and she walks off. We ask to speak with the owner, my husband address him and his wife whom works the kitchen starts going on with whats wrong with my food and my husband calmly tells her and states he works in a kitchen, the women then go why don't you eat at your own restaurant then. Extremely rude. Then the manger insist his wife's cooking is fine and listens to the server lie about the freshness, and only takes the rice and beans off the check. NO APOLOGY at all. I'm so disappointed. We really liked this place but quality of food and service has tremendously went down. We will NOT be back to waste money on food that...
Read more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ this place. This little spot is a must to check out for those wanting authentic Spanish food. I am accustom to round patacon (fried green bananas) but their version of strip chips is just as good. This version is not as oily. The open face taco is an amazing and better version of tacos than what most people are accustomed to. This is a true taco not like the franchise version. The tamales doesn't come close to my mom's, but it had similar taste and texture. Oh my goodness they had tamarind juice, and it was sweet and good. The price was affordable. The staff was attentive and friendly. FYI when you're done eating you must go up to the front to pay your bill they do not bring it to the table. They also serve alcohol, and...
