DIABETICS BEWARE!!! Let me start by saying, I order salads from this Wendy's quite often. Recently I ordered an UNSWEETENED tea in the app. The only kind of tea in the app is Unsweetened with the option of adding all different types of sweeteners. To my surprise when I got home I realized this "Unsweetened tea" that said it had zero calories was one of the sweetest drinks I have ever drank.
The next time I went to Wendy's to order a salad, I asked about the tea and they had No idea if they currently were serving Sweetened Sweet Tea or Unsweetened tea. I ordered and it was sweetened even though it was labeled "unsweetened".
That could actually kill someone who has diabetes and exected ZERO SUGAR or someone else cannot have sugar. Considering sweet tea isn't even on their app, only unsweetened with options to sweeten, anyone would think it was safe to assume they were ordering an Unsweetened drink with the option of adding different types of sweeteners to it. Is Wendy's actually trying to kill people? I would give this a five star rating except for the fact that people with diabetes could literally end up in the hospital by ordering a simple unsweetened drink here. Pretty sure it's the only drink they even have as an option here. This really has nothing to do with food safety and has to do with every single employee in that building lacking Common Sense including the franchisee who owns it and allows people to serve diabetics ounces and ounces upon grams upon ounces upon grams of sugar. Curious, do they put a 4 lb bag of sugar per 4 gallons of sweet tea? Because that's murder...
Read moreRudest employee ever. I just went through the drive through a few minutes ago, and for whatever reason (I'll figure it out after this review), my credit card didn't go through. The drive-through lady didn't notice right away and handed my food out, when another employee, whom I've decided to call Captain *#%€, noticed and intervened in the rudest way possible. He pushed his way towards her register and shouted, "WAIT! The card was declined." As if I were actively trying to drive off, when I was actually leaning in towards the window to ask the lady where I could find the straw for my drink. So I handed a different card back in the window, and while she was running it, he said helpful things such as "It's a good thing I noticed -- it only flashed up for a second." And later he said, "OK, THIS card went through, so you're good to go."
Here's a customer service tip for you: if you insist on treating your customers like criminals, pretty soon you won't have any customers left. Credit cards get frozen all the time for multiple reasons, and sometimes they aren't even frozen -- the transaction just didn't go through the first time for whatever reason. I'm not sure who Captain $&#%* was trying to shame -- me or the nice lady working at the drive through register. Either way, consider me disgruntled. Next time, mind...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews for fast food restaurants but here is an exception. Recently, I took on a night shift job in Portsmouth and was almost immediately advised by a couple of folks not to patronize this Wendy's. Well, you know, some people complain about anything and so I didn't really take the advice to heart. One night another local fast food joint was down to just fried food so I decided to make my first voyage to this Wendy's. I am now sorry that I didn't heed that advice. Service at the drive-thru window was excruciatingly slow and when I finally received the food it was old, cold and greasy. The personnel at the window had little or nothing to say and acted as if they didn't want to be there. At one point a fellow walked over to the woman at the window, turned his back to me and whispered into the woman's ear as if telling a joke- to which she laughed- and then they both turned around to look at me and smirked. I'm pretty sure that they.just.don't.care. And if they don't care, well, just what are you eating anyway? Not recommended at all. There are plenty of other...
