Mom's Cafe — Restaurant in Pottsboro

Came in here with high hopes between breakfast and lunch.

I live in the area and was working with 4 other guys locally, since this is my area.

We were served leftovers from breakfast! The biscuits were soggy, the hashbrowns were reheated on the grill and had burnt specs in them. The only one who got fresh hashbrowns was the one of us who the server forgot theirs, so they made a fresh batch for him. The difference was visible. The bacon was floppy and smelled off. I'm not one to pass on bacon but I didn't eat it. As a matter of fact, I only ate the eggs, since it was the only fresh thing cooked on my plate.

Our server thought we were here to go fishing. The fact that we were all wearing apparel with the company logo should have been a hint.

Really unfortunate, because we were looking for a local place to regularly have lunch. This is not it.

Maybe the food is good if it's fresh and not leftovers, but they dropped the ball. I'm a local guide and hate to leave a bad review, especially for a local place, but this was nasty!

Upside, if you're a smoker, the main dining area is filled with smokers. We were out in the non smoking addition. I had high hopes for this place but I won't be giving them a...

Ambience, service,food quality. Just felt like stepping back in Texas to a time before it got swamped with Californians and Yankees. Before politically correct was a thing. Before people worried about what they were eating being appropriate.

If you want a real darn good breakfast, this is the place! I will drive way out of my way to have breakfast here! If you are looking for good food, conversation, and the best service you have had in decades, here it is. Even the customers make it more inviting.

If you are tired of box stores and food chains, do yourself a favor and look them up. Be friendly and cut up a bit. Give these ladies a smile and tip them well. This is the kind of place you want to still be around 20...

Mom's place Is Great for breakfast 🍽️🍳🥞the food came out perfect to order. The atmosphere was pleasant and the owner Susan was our server. She made sure we got everything we wanted.🤗🌼 service was fast and the food was hot and delicious.😊 By fare they have the best breakfast in the area. Don't be confused by Google maps the gourmet waffle shop doesn't compare not even close .🚬smoking is permitted. This is the only restaurant that you can enjoy a cigarette with your coffee ☕ in the area. Fyi the coffee was great too 🙂 they also have a separate 🚭non-smoking room just for those who rather not. ...
