Better Buzz Coffee – Poway — Restaurant in Poway

Update I've been back several times since and they've made up for everything from Before and the Carmel vanilla latte is delicious every time!! Employees are also always nice. Very nice employees however I ordered my drinks to be ready by 8:15 am. That doesn't mean start making them at that time. I arrived exactly when my drinks should have already been ready just to have to wait an additional 10 minutes- making me late. I counted over 10 employees bustling around behind the bar and in the back. I waited near the drink pick up and in the end I had to approach the counter to ask for my dang order, then I ordered both drinks with oat milk. I saw an employee making what looked like both of my drinks butt pour regular milk into one and pat into the other. I'm not sure which is which but I'm genuinely pissed about my wasted time. If I'd have known that the order pickup time was merely a suggestion I would've just ordered to have it ready right away. The people in the drive through were flying past, maybe I might've had my drinks at an appropriate time if we had braved the drive through but the speed of service inside the lobby was slow. I'm all for having fun at work It make sure everyone has what they need first. Far too many giggly chit chatting employees for me to have to be late when I ordered 25 minutes earlier so I could be on time....

Good parking, terrible place to study, sugary drinks, bad menu indications, friendly staff but bad at helping at times

Do know this place is pretty small.

Parking - lots of parking all around, but know you may have to park a little further away from the building

Menu - it's a hot mess. They have their usual drinks on the board, but any new drinks you have to scavenge around to even know about. A LOT of their drinks are just sugary drinks. I didn't know about the level of sugar, milk, and ice. I only found out about it through one of the small posters about a new drink. The barista didn't even mention it -- and to some degree they shouldn't have to, it should be clear somewhere.

Atmosphere - overwhelming. Super loud inside and a lot feels like a lot is going on. Although the place feels inviting -- I want to leave as soon as I get there.

Staff - they are nice and welcoming, but the talking amongst themselves feels like I am being ignored as if I'm a nuisance. I had to stand there like an idiot for a minute before anyone came to me -- the shop was not busy.

Building - it looks great and feels great. One thing to note is that it's not like a Starbucks where you can study, which kinda sucks, but there are 2 outlets on the walls for 2 electronics. Therefore, don't expect...

A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers!

This place has officially become my go-to coffee spot! From the moment I walked in, I was hit with the cozy vibe—think warm lighting, chill music, and the smell of freshly ground beans in the air. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. I ordered the iced Best drink ever , and it was incredible. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. You can tell they take their craft seriously—I also tried one of their pastries, and it was fresh like it came straight from a bakery in Paris. The barista Shilo and Suzy was Super friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. They even took the time to chat about their favorite roasts and made great suggestions based on what I like. Whether you’re looking to grab a quick cup, get some work done, or just relax and people-watch, this spot checks every box. Bonus: the Wi-Fi is strong, and there are plenty of outlets! Highly recommend checking this place out—you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back...
