I have put off this review because I love the park so much I fear that once it becomes better known more people would overwhelm it. However the absolute joy my dog Lucy shows when I open the gate to what must freedm changed my mind. The fenced in park has three fields the dogs can run in. One for small dogs, like Lucy, one for medium dogs and one for large ones. That puts all of them on equal footing - the large dogs don't overwhelm the litter one so they get along very well. When entering the park you go through 2 gates. The first gate let's you into a small area where you take the off and the second let's you into the play area. As soon as I open the second gate Lucy runs to greet her friends and they all start chasing each other running in circles within the enclosure. After that they get busy sniffing each other getting caught up on how everyone is doing. There are benches for the human to sit and a nearby school bathroom that is just behind the baseball field that the humans can use too. Every time I have visited the park I've noticed that everyone keeps watch of their dog and quickly picks up their after dogs doing their part in keeping the field clean. The grass is always cut making it ideal for when the dogs need to satisfy their urge to roll in the the dirt. There is always a bowl of water for the dogs but humans have to bring their own. I Iove bringing Lucy to this park and by her reactions Lucy...
Read more3 dog pens and you can reserve them! I absolutely LOVE that the pens can be reserved. Why? Because it ensures my dogs SAFETY while playing at the park. She's been attacked in public dog parks twice while she was playing with her friends (at other dog parks). The reality is many people do not train their dogs, can not read dog body language, and bring their aggressive dogs to the parks, so I swore them off. This is the ONLY place I feel safe bringing my pup, i can reserve the pen for an hour or 2 and she can run her heart out without worry. I will say this the dog groups which is am part of which reserve these pens are also part of dog therapy and rescue groups. Until you see your dog be attacked at the park while minding its own business you can never understand the feeling of needed to keep them safe. So please be respectful of the reserved pens. 🙏 a man in a neighboring pen started harsssing us and taunting us by having his malinois hop the fence into our reserved pen then proceesed to yell at us for reserving the pen. Which stressed everyone out during what is supposed to be a happy and safe time for the dogs. It's just about safety ladies and gentlemen nothing less...
Read moreThis is out to-go dog park. Our small dog gets really scared of larger dogs so we can't go to any dog park that doesn't have separate areas for different-sized dogs. Although she really liked dog parks, she had developed this fear of them since she was always being attacked by larger dogs to which she reacts very dramatically. But this park has THREE separate areas for different sizes. And the owners really follow the weight limit rules (usually). Once I saw some people had brought a larger dog to the small dog area but other people politely asked them to leave because their dog was causing a chaos.
Unlike many other dog parks, this park has a lot of nice grass which is very well-maintained. There are multiple poop bag dispensers and water fountains.
This park is located within a large community park with a very nice community center, couple of baseball fields, a huge swimming pool, tennis courts, kid's playgrounds, and even a skateboard park. It's a super lively and family-friendly...
