Horrible experience. I ordered a Carnitas Burrito took a bite into it and had a mouth full of guacamole. Opened the burrito and it was all guacamole. Showed the guy and he said we put 5 oz of meat and showed me a bag of frozen carnitas 👎💩 who does that. If I wanted frozen food I would have bought the frozen burritos from the store. Even the horchata was horrible and their salsa was bad. Coming from a family of chefs a appreciate good food and this place lacks it. Maybe they just can't cook carnitas but if you can't make carnitas then you can't cook anything. I would not recommend anyone to go there. This place is horrible. Horrible customer service. A small taco shop with a good menu. Service is fine, the portion was large, and the food was hot. I got an egg burrito, which contains egg, beans, and rice. As I said, the burrito was large and will fill you up, however, the burrito was very plain, particularly the beans, and the rice was on the mushy side.

Another unfortunate negative was that the salsas are pretty bad..I tried all three and all were extremely watery and lacking flavor and taste. The best was the one that is the least blended, but it still isn't that great.

I've been eating here for 21 years having grown up in Poway/San Diego, now I'm 30 and it's still going strong through a few changes in management, but they've largely held the same menu all these years. This place has the best burritos in San Diego HANDS DOWN! And when I mean the best, I mean best flavor, and THEY ARE HUGE if you get enough ingredients.
