Tacos El Campeon Food Truck — Restaurant in Powder Springs

I bought a Quesadilla Suprema from them with shrimp, steak, and pork as my proteins (yes, you can get up to 3 proteins in your quesadilla, which is honestly a great selling point for me).

The lady at the counter said that the Quesadilla Suprema was a large portion size, but I tend to eat a lot so I was a bit skeptical. But not only was the portion size larger than I expected, but I still have a quarter of it left over after being totally stuffed.

And the Quesadilla Suprema itself was DELICIOUS. It was exactly what I wanted from a food truck: sloppy, sizeable, and scrumptious. Their spicy salsa was also incredibly flavorful as well as being hot. They apparently use a bunch of peppers for it, and you can tell.

The lady at the counter was really nice and made me feel welcome. Food trucks tend to have this "hurry up and order" vibe about them, but I visited around 8pm on a Friday and they were patient with my questions about the menu.

This place is open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, so this is going to be my go-to spot for...

I found this gem on Google and let me tell you it’s amazing!! Their horchata is good, churros are great, and carne asada tacos are amazing! Most importantly get the carne asada fries!! I always get the fries because they are perfection, my husband said they need a sauce for moisture but I don’t think so. I was a little weary at first as it was just a truck on the side of the street, only open 2 days a week but now I go every other weekend and will keep going. Tacos are $3 each but come with 2 shells and tons of meat with cilantro, onions and lime, so it’s really 2 for $3!! The only thing I haven’t tried is the shrimp tacos and I probably won’t. The chicken and pork tacos are also good but the steak is by far the best!! The torta was good also but I have had better. The fries are the way to go!! Definitely stop and see...

I want to thank and support this AMAZING food truck in the Cobb county area!!! Tacos EL Campeon are truly living up to highest standards of great fresh authentic Mexican food and excellent service!!! I rate this spot 10stars plus!!! Tacos are amazing great portions, seasoned to perfection and if you like some heat their red salsa is delicious!!!!
