DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT. I was a regular customer for years. Their food is just mediocre, but it's always very fresh (just REALLY bland food, they don't use enough spices compared to most takeout Chinese places), but they make a great Singapore Mei Fun and Spicy Garlic Pork.👌 So, I kept going back. Then one day I got to find out how they really feel about their customers. Yes, they were busy, but I called to order something different and spicy. Within 15 seconds of picking up the owner says, I don't have time, you only call if you know what you want, and hung up on me. I called back and she hung up on me two other times. I wasn't unpleasant AT ALL, and had a genuine question about a dish. Where I've been going to them for years, I didn't want to end on the note. So, I went in to actually talk to her. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding, some people don't handle stress well. Maybe she was just having a bad day. But, instead of resolving the situation, I actually just got to see how they really feel about their "local" customers. It seemed to me, they truly have a disdain for their customers and really can't stand the people of the Knoxville area. All this time I thought I was supporting a small family owned business that was just trying to do the best they can. Instead I was just another ignorant Tennessean to them. Truly a sad way to end years of being a...
Read moreSo Im originally from Up North. I have been to so many chinese places trying to get something similar as to what I love. This place I tried for the first time today. It was delicious. The fried rice was actually fried rice, not the yellow stuff most places serve around here. The prices were terrific. The food did not disappoint. I had beef and Broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, General Chaos chicken, Chicken Fried rice, pepper steak, beef lo mein and wonton soup. My entire family loved everything. I fed 5 people on $50 bucks with left overs. We will be back! 😋.......
2 years later.... Christmas Day and I had a small surgery just days ago and could not cook. We pleasantly found them open and let's say....did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. We tried the Mongolian beef "extra spicy" which was something new for us and it was hot but had so much flavor! Wonton and egg drop soup was so delicious and the egg rolls were...
Read moreI have been on a quest to find great Chinese since I've lived in Knoxville. I have tried them all. I won't go back. This place hit the mark for me. I wanted that old school DC Chinese place vibe and I got it here. They actually cook the fried rice with vegetables...something that for some reason i haven't found anywhere lately. Listened to my special instructions and executed them perfectly. Delicious crunchy egg rolls. The spicy could have been spicier but she gave me extra chili sauce so I just zchuzzed it up a bit with that, it also needed a bit more salt but again those are easily fixable things and did not deduct from my enjoying it. $27.59 for two combos and a pint of pork lo-mein. Large portions. I have lunch tomorrow too. Thank you for your courtesy. 20 minute drive there and totally worth it. A picture is worth 1000 words. You can tell by that how...
